  1. Ok I shall do that. They received my letter on the 12th. I gave them 7 days to reply as this is the same grace that they gave me. I should imagine they will respond in their own time in order to continue their contempt for customers.
  2. Thank you I shall. No word from them yet. I did manage to speak to a solicitor in regards their Ts & Cs. They are of the same opinion that their "blanket" terms are not really applicable to this unique situation. Thank you for your help.
  3. I am reading more and more about them. I feel like their methods are better suited to countries that have less civil rights than ours!
  4. I like that approach. I can imagine a fine gentleman with a top hat and monocle! "Good day sir... I SAID GOOD DAY!"
  5. Thank you I shall give this a go. If I had the money I'd take it to court just to prove a point in what they are doing is completely wrong. It feels like I'm being held to ransome!
  6. Not at the moment. They froze all memberships after the lockdown. So, it's at their will.
  7. I just don't see how I can get out of the contract at all?? I shall have a look! Thank you.
  8. looks like im stuck with them. I am a bit wiser to this kind of thing now. Fingers crossed that something will change!
  9. Agreed. I don't have an issue with paying for a service at all. The ussue for me is that the contract could in theory tie me in to them for years. I am not sure if this type of thing occurs in other areas of consumerism? It could be quite unique to the fitness industry.
  10. Thank you. That's definitely something to consider! Do you think this could be something parliament would chsnge?
  11. I have read a lot on them using debt collectors for this sort of thing. I don't know if anyone on here has had any dealings with them?
  12. Firstly, I am sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. I am new here and a bit unsure as to how it all works. My issue is with a contract for a gym membership. I took out a 12 month membership in October 2020. I wanted to hand in my notice for this October. I have been informed that I will be able to leave the gym in April 2022. I have made a complaint and made reference to The Consumer Rights act and letting them know that what they are dong is unfair. I Specifically directed them to Schedule 2 Consumer contract terms which may be regarded as unfair
