  1. Thank you for the reply! Great I'll wait and see what comes in the post, thank you for putting my mind at rest I'm pretty annoyed at myself for blindly paying them all off too, I've managed to raise 1 irresponsible lending claim and got a redress with 24/7Moneybox but the rest of the loan providers went bust years ago so I've lost out on the rest, stupid on my part
  2. Hi all, I've seen a similar topic from a few years back but I have a different situation that I'm a bit stuck with... So I took out quite a few payday loans in the back end of 2016 when I was in a bad financial way and got myself into a lot of debt very quickly. A loan of £900 from Different Money LTD was one of them. I set up a payment plan with Stepchange debt charity, but for whatever reason at the time I forgot to include the loan from Different Money LTD. I have since paid off all of the other loans I had. I had two emails from Different Money LTD that fell into my junk email folder in November and December 2016 (no letters or phone calls ever received chasing the money, just emails). I then received two emails, again into my junk email folder, from United Kash in November and December of 2020, demanding payment of the £900 which they had purchased from Different Money. I didn't see these at the time because as I mentioned they went to my junk folder which I don't check. Fast forward to today and I've had an email from United Kash into my normal inbox, with a final demand, stating that they will take me to court unless I pay the sum of £900. This is how I found the emails mentioned above in my junk folder, trying to figure out the origins of this debt they are collecting. I'm basically wondering where I stand - why have I never had any letters or calls from anybody? I haven't moved address, my phone number hasn't changed? Do I have a leg to stand on with this? I can't put in a claim to Different Money because they went bust years ago, can United Kash even take me to court if they haven't sent me any form of letter, are they able to just go off emails? What if I had never seen these emails? It all just seems a bit dodgy and suspicious to me, I'm fully aware that the loan is legit, I just want to make sure it can be enforced and that they have taken the correct action before I make any decisions regarding payment to them. Edit - this loan has never appeared on my credit reports, no defaults or balances, which is another reason I'm suspicious about it all (I use checkmyfile to check all three agencies)
