I've gotten a reply from Lidl and they've just suggested going through Athena's appeals process (response attached). For the record, I haven't paid the charge as they say in the email, I will keep writing back. If parking eye is anything to go by, appealing won't get me anywhere, but I'm considering going through an appeal so it helps me get my case across? Thank you for pointing me there. I will write to the CEO tonight

Thank you both for your help, I appreciate it I have written to Lidl explaining the situation and asked them to get Athena to remove the charge. Do you think I'm likely to have any sucsess? The charge goes up to £90 after tommorow, and affording the basics is already hard enough at the moment

Hi guys, I've received a parking charge notice from Athena in the post for overstaying the 1h30 limit by 25 minutes on 27/08. I spent too long trying to save money in the shop Issued 02/09, Woolston/Southampton This charge is £45 and it goes up to £90 if I don't pay by it by Wednesday Is there any way out of this since they do have clear photos of the car, and signs in the car park?
