  2. Good afternoon Please can someone provide a bit of guidance. Customer ordered a TV from CurryPcWorld via Ebay, however after non-delivery successfully obtained a refund via Ebay. However, a couple of days later the TV was delivered which is now unwanted. He sent an email to the address in my Twitter account pinned tweet advising them of their mistake and instructing them they have 14 days to make contact and arrange collection. He received the usual acknowledgement email. The 14 days have since passed and they have not bothered to get in conta
  3. I have not had any experience with Unions, however it is my understanding that the minute you sign up you are covered and therefore can ask for help on any topic. I wholeheartedly agree with you re "goodwill". This is very short sighted of the company and to treat people this way irrespective of Covid is just rotten. You might want to put a call into ACAS, they are a free service and will talk through your predicament and give you some tangible advice on your rights etc. https://www.acas.org.uk/contact

  6. hello HB The calculator is what you are entitled to as a minimum. You are right it is a calculator, however payments will still be due. Until we know for sure, the circumstances of the closure, it is a bit of a challenge to advise in the correct direction. Best, Sue
  7. Hi there First off, you need to check your employment agreement and the company policy on Redundancy (assuming they have one). There will be be statutory redundancy payments that you will be entitled to and any enhanced payments that the your company may offer. The most important factor is notice of redundancy, if they have not followed the procedure set out in your employment contract/policy then it is a breach of contract. Here is the link to work out your statutory entitlement https://www.gov.uk/calculate-your-redundancy-pay
  8. Just by way of an update, I am now being targeted on Twitter. Today, two profiles have been set up and followed me, both were "here to call out Sue's sh*t". Both have now been blocked. I have clearly hit a raw nerve somehwhere

  10. I'm seeing a lot of complaints on Twitter about extended warranties etc. CurrysPcWorld are quoting all sorts of T&Cs to keep fobbing people off. Could you suggest a response for me please to put back out there? Many thanks Sue
  11. Thank you for this. I was a bit wary of sending people down the court route, however reading your response I will definitely be pointing people this way for additional help. Thank you again and thank you for all that you do to help people. Sue
  12. Good afternoon all I am active on twitter @Consumer_Sue doing my best to help all the customers who have been treated appallingly during Covid. I am not an expert on Consumer Law, but I do my research and point people in the right direction. For my sins, curryspcworld and Teamknowhow have blocked me on twitter, however its quite easy to see what they are up to and I am continuing my campaign to have this company held to account. This all started back in March when I ordered 2 laptops for my granddaughters to be able to do schoolwork during loc
