  1. Good evening caggers, I am hoping for some advice. Let me begin the long sordid tale of my most recent run in with good old Just Eat. So. On 29th May, i ordered £27.60 worth of food on just eat. I was at work at the time of ordering, so i requested the order be delivered at 2150. While still at work, around 20 minutes after placing the order, at 2045, i get a text saying my food has been delivered and i quickly check the just eat site, lo and behold, the order has been delivered. The driver left the food on my doorstep, 1hour early, while im still at work. So i immediately start a chat with just eat support. They offer me a refund then and there if i want it, or i can wait to see if the food is edible by the time i get home. Decent person i am, not wanting to put the restaurant out in these hard times, i say ill check if the food is edible when i get home and get back to them 1 hour passes and im home at 2145. O find the food on the doorstep. It is stone cold at this point and im not going to be reheating chicken or rice. I dont want to give myself food poisoning. So i contact just eat again, they agree to a refund as the food is cold and inedible. Ok cool, right? 2 weeks pass and i am going through my bank transactions and notice i never got the refund. I contact just eat. Now this is where the fun begins. They initially refuse to admit i ever contacted them about this order. After starting a few different chats, i get one to admit that i had indeed contacted them about the order, but he says no offer of refund was made. So i start another chat and finally they admit the refund was offered, but it was never actioned because the restaurant didnt mark the order as delivered (even though it shows as delivered on the app and website) Now, they tell me they can not refund me because 48 hours has gone and the system will not allow them to refund. Another different advisor states that im not eligable for a refund because my contract us between me and the restaurant and not just eat. This doesnt sound right at all. I pay just eat, not the restaurant. Just eat pay them after taking their cut, surely my contract is with just eat. Yet another advisor tells me that there is no record of any offer to refund me...despite previous advisor saying otherwise. I get to speak to a wonderfully unhelpful manager via phone call who tells me that he is so so sorry but they cant refund me because the system locks refunds out after 48 hours. So they say im eligable for refund, dont do it and now cant do it because computer says no. Where do i stand on this guys? Thanks. Dan.
