  1. Thanks pmhread. I have done as you suggested and am already further forward. I have a number of years of charges to get back so first thing will be a letter and £10.00 for statements. It's encouraging to see that others have managed to recover.Me next, I hope! Graemestc
  2. Hello everyone. I am new to the site and to the forum but have reached the stage of being completely fed up with the Alliance & Leicester. In fact I am raging at the injustice of the manner in which they apply charges. It is an expensive and an accelerating process. The first charge puts you over your limit and before you get the warning letter a further charge is applied, even though you have put money into the bank to meet the deductions. They have a policy of deducting direct debits etc before they apply the money you have lodged, even though this takes place on the same day, and they then charge £25.00 plus interest on the overdrawn amount. Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask. I'm sorry if I'm rambling but I want to get even and I hope someone out there can help me.
