It’s not an issue at the moment , I’ve checked Experian & they’ve removed it but equifax are adamant it stays on.

It was a late payment, no default

Hello I have checked my equifax credit file and it shows a late payment on an old orange account from July 2013. The account was settled in full in November 2016. The credit file also shows information going back to 2012. I have contacted equifax re removal of the late payment Marker to be told it doesn’t get removed until the account drops off my credit file in 2022. If this is the case then my late payments will have been on my account for 9 years . It was my understanding late payments drop off after 6 years, is this not the case.?
