  4. Hi, I received a PCN from MET for overstaying at a carpark. 90 minutes Free stay period. Actual period of stay 110+ minutes. It was a genuine mistake on my behalf I was catching up with a few friends and lost track of time. We were at one of the restaurants at the car park. Do I have a leg to stand on if I appeal? Thanks, T
  5. Oh wow. Hopefully it doesn't happen again, but if it does I'll keep that in mind!
  6. Hi, I forgot to update the thread. We complained saying we didn't receive it to BP on twitter. After a few emails we got a letter saying they're going reduce the pcn to the initial amount.
  7. Hey, what avenues would she have? Still struggling with monthly payments and now some solicitors have sent her a letter saying she has 7 days to pay 2months of arrears. otherwise L2G will serve a default notice and look to reclaim the money by legal routes.
  8. Yes, all of those were done just before our move too. We were at the old address for 5 weeks after the incident, surely it would've come during that period. EDIT: I am speaking on behalf of my father btw.
  9. We moved mid December and have had a redirection service put in place for mail too. I have no idea why we haven't received it.

  11. Good evening, I have received a letter from MET Parking Services starting that a fine is now overdue, the problem is, no initial letter was sent. They are demanding payment within 14 days, what is the best way forward. I go to Stansted a lot and I'm not 100% sure the charge is genuine as it was from a few months ago. Date of incident is the first week of November and this is the first letter I have received regarding this (today).
  12. Hi, I've just received another stating I must pay the whole remaining balance in a week, otherwise they will send it to their recoveries department to work out a payment plan or send my account to a debt collector or put a default on my credit file. I have already agreed a payment plan for 6 months, are these just generic letters or do I need to reply to them? Thank you.
  13. Hi, Got it all sorted and paying them on a pro-rata basis for the next few months. They've also sent me a default notice and said the arrears on my account have to be paid within 28 days. Is this just generic? Because they have acknowledged that I will be paying them pro-rata.
  14. Just out of curiosity, can you expand on this please. Thank you.
  15. That makes sense why they've asked for the balance of that account then.
  16. Understood. So will it be worth her pursuing this with a IRL complaint? Also she said they only done a 'quotation and personal search' rather than a full credit check on her.
  17. Full of defaults, yes. One credit card and a rather large bank loan. Will forward that link to her. Length, 18 months. Edit: she just checked and said its mainly late payments on her accounts. Will different credit report companies show up different results? Situation is similar to mine in terms of she's been making reduced payments on her unsecured loan for 6+ months so it shows as payment has been made on her clearscore.
  18. I'm sorry, I thought I deleted the original one. I tried to find a more appropriate sub forum for it.
  19. Good evening all, writing this on behalf of my friend who is in need of some help. She took out a personal unsecured loan 3/4 months ago with Loans2Go for £500 and the amount that needs to be repaid is a smidge over £2,000 (Crazy interest rates, is this legal?) She's struggling with the monthly payments and will not be able to make this months payment. What's the best route forward for her? She also mentioned when she signed up they only sent her a CPA agreement and no documents about the loan T&C's etc. Thank you
  20. Understood, I'm just going to carry on paying what I said I will and I won't be replying to this letter. Also, I'm moving homes but I have setup a Royal Mail redirection service, shall I inform them of my change of address?

  22. Well I guess I can pay more now after negotiating with my other creditor. I will inform them of this. No need to tell them the balance with the other creditor, right? Thank you once again.
  23. I understand, I will keep you guys updated if anything changes. Do you mean I have a slim chance of losing in court as I am still paying them all I can afford? Also I've renegotiated with my other credit and dropped them down to a certain amount so I can pay Tesco equally. Shall I just send them this new budget form with updated details of this and mention I will be paying them the new amount monthly? Or just leave it all and just carry on paying x/month without replying like DX mentions.
  24. Ok I understand, the trouble is I'm paying the other creditor 8 times more than I'm paying Tesco, could this be why they 'refused' the offer? Thanks for the advice, I'll just reply with a short letter stating the balance for the other creditor and nothing else, right? I might be sounding a bit ahead of myself but I just don't want anyone knocking on the door.
