Let's not be so dramatic, I don't think my post was harsh at all - you won't always hear what you want to, especially on a public forum - this isn't the Samaritans. That said, obviously, I didn't want to upset you and if I did in any way, I apologise.
I appreciate that you may not have come here looking at irresponsible lending and that's the site teams fault for changing the title and giving that impression
Hi
Thank you for taking the time to reply, I appreciate the apology and maybe I responded from an emotional angle last night. You are also correct that this is a public forum, but I would just add that to judge and give opinions would be better recieved if all factors were firstly taken into consideration.
No hard feelings
Take care

Hi there
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Have a good weekend

Out of curiosity, why would you think you have a claim for irresponsible lending? From looking at the loans you've had, it seems like you've taken a lot of loans in a very short space of time. You borrowed £1000 from Satsuma just 12 days ago and now you want to claim irresponsible lending?
On the 5th April you borrowed £800 from MyJar, then on the 8th April you borrowed £1000 from Satsuma and then on the 9th April you borrowed £150 from Wageday Advance, that's £1950 in 4 days and then 5 days ago you had £250 from SafetyNet Credit - I'm sorry but this is irresponsible borrowing, what on Earth are you doing with all of this money?!
Perhaps the only thing that may go in your favour is if you declared all of the outstanding loans at the time you applied and they still lent to you - were you honest on your application forms about your earnings and current loans?
I'm sorry it's not what you would want to hear, but personally I don't think you would have a claim at all here - what this looks like is you borrowing a lot of money and trying to get out of paying it back as now you've realised just how much is owed. Just my opinion and of course nothing personal here.
Hi
Thank you for your post. In response to your apparent 'enquiry', I didn't approach this site on the basis that I thought I may have a claim for irresponsible lending against these companies and had in fact not even heard of it until some of the kind people on this site mentioned it to me. I approached the site for support - the subject heading was altered by one of the earlier mentioned kind people on the site to signpost them to it when they had chance to look further into it.
I appreciate your opinion and agree what it may be viewed as being by an onlooker, but you really are wide of the mark and to be perfectly blunt, I have no desire to go into the whys and wherefores with people who clearly express their views in such a manner. I would never judge anyone on here in this way and really don't think I deserved it. I hope you sleep well knowing how upset you have made me

HI Abbieno - Ive separated the thread for now and lets get to work with your PDL issues.
Put dates etc here of all your PDLs and how many you have had and ill work through it either today or tomorrow.
Hi there
Thanks as always for the help!
I have uploaded all of the PDL info onto a spreadsheet and have saved it as a PDF document. It has gone onto two pages, but sits side by side, if that makes sense?
Thanks again

Hi, I've just been having a nosey on Provident's site and didn't realise that they own Vanquis bank as well - could this be another reason we can use the argument of irresponsible lending given that I owe money to Vanquis, which is on a DMP, or could it be that Satsuma wouldn't necessarily realise this when doing their checks?
Will post the info u requested tomorrow
Thanks again

Hello
I have been posting on the general debt forum, but have been asked to post details on here too - any help would be massively appreciated:
MyJar - £800
Satsuma - £1000
Wageday Advance - £150
QuickQuid - £400
SafetyNet Credit - £250
Drafty - £280
The above are all PDL companies who I have borrowed from recently. Drafty is a RCF with a credit limit of £300 of which I am paying approx £18 per month. Satsuma is a monthly payment of £160 for 12 months commencing at the end of May, My Jar is meant to be paid at the end of April (first payment) of £230 for six months. SafetyNet expects the full amount at the end of this month, WDA is due in three separate instalments, as is QuickQuid.
Thank you so much

Hello
Thanks again for ypur ongoing support - the majority of the debts on the DMP were taken out between 2012 - 2015. Will get some exact dates together of you think it might help?
Thank you again
IM are SafetyNet Credit.Drafty appear to be similar to 118 loans run by **DRUMROLL PLZ** - LENDING STREAM!
FWIW i can probably help with IRR Lending for the PDL firms. That you dont need to worry about but your current debts need dealing with. DX is very good with helping on those
I would suggest making a seperate thread in the PDL forum and we can go from there
Awesome, thank you so much! Do u want me to just copy my initial post to the PDL forum?
Sorry if that's a dumb question!
Thanks so much

gotta admit I'm tempted to say stop paying everyone as it looks
Good evening

Hi
Thank you again - I think this should now be attached and has been saved in a PDF format
The StepChange payment is currently set at £100 per month
Some of those debts could be unenforceable, so do as the guys suggest. -
Hi I can send a screenshot of my DMP, but will send via PM if that's ok, as it has ref numbers on etc
Thank u so much for your help

Hi
Thank you for replying - no I have never sent a CCA request to my creditors - what is the purpose of this? I presume to check the balances are correct and I have actually agreed to the credit - is that correct?
Sorry if I am being dumb, my head is all over the place at the moment.
Thanks again all

Hello
Thank you for taking the time to reply.
My DMP has been running for a couple of years with around £14k outstanding to various lenders (mainly credit cards and mail order) I am paying £100 pcm.
The ones not included in the dmp are those outlined in my initial post, of which my first payment is due at the end of April.
MyJar - they expect six monthly payments of £230 from 28 April
Satsuma - they expect £160 for twelve months from 26 May
SafetyNet - £250 due on 28 April (I forgot to include this in my first post)
Wageday Advance - two smallish payments due of around £60 from 28 April then about £130 in June
QuickQuid - £60 due end of April, £80ish end of May then £506 end of June
JD Williams mail order - currently pay minimum of approx £90 per month
Thanks again - I will look through the guide, but am worried they will think I deliberately misled them regarding affordability.
Cheers

Hello
Thank you for your prompt response, I really appreciate it. I pondered the irresponsible lending route, but didn't think it would stick, as I applied for two of the loans around the same time, so the outgpings figure I used didn't include either of the monthly credit commitment I had with either (if that makes sense?).
Thanks again
Do you know if they can contact my employer as this causes me concern due to my role?

Hello
This is my first post, so please bear with me.
As you will have established from the title,
I have been stupid recently and have taken out credit via a mail order catalogue and four payday/short term loans.
I have always had a volatile relationship with money,
which I think has stemmed from my chaotic upbringing
(my father got himself into a lot of debt and I was sent out to work from the age of 12 and up until I was 27, I was paying him to help him out each week.
The time this ended was when he died
(hence it ceasing when I was in my late twenties).
The above isn't my way of evading responsibility as I am old enough to know better - I just wanted to offer an overview.
Just before my father passed away,
I also suffered a miscarriage and thought I had experienced another shortly after he died
, but I was lucky enough to give birth to my first child that year.
If you are still reading this, thank you.
Even writing this is making me cry and I genuinely don't feel I have properly grieved since the losses (my Dad and two babies) and believe this has probably contributed to why I spend on credit and buy things I simply can't afford.
For a short time it makes me feel better.
I have previously been diagnosed with depression,
but thought I had overcome this.
I now think I have just masked it with the borrowing!
I am currently paying StepChange a monthly payment towards older debt
, but have racked up mail order debt of £1750
and also owe the following:
MyJar - £800
Satsuma - £1000
Wageday Advance - £150
QuickQuid - £400
I have previously borrowed from the top two and paid them off in full,
but this was only possible by borrowing from one to pay the other,
but it gave me more credit at the next time of applying.
The first payments for these new loans are due at the end of April and I know I cannot pay them.
I am losing sleep and feel poorly with worrying about what to do or say to these companies.
None of them asked me if I was on a DMP,
but I know it is my fault.
I am working full time and have a partner,
who doesn't know the extent of my debt,
but he has his own issues (addiction).
We have three children and I look at them and feel so crap for letting them all down.
Please can anyone offer any advice? I am sorry for rambling on.
