  1. I just received a letter from hardlands which is a reply to the one slick told me to send. They said that they will not be able to close my account and that i should use the Xercise4less website or visit the club. They also said the reason that I am unable to cancel is because I didnt make the October payment. They told me to call customer services to make the payment and update my account details. Hardlands have put my account on hold until 23rd of November so I have time to sort out my problem. The letter never told me the amount which I am required to pay. If it's just £9.99 I would pay right now but I wont pay if they add an admin fee of £25 to it. What should I do now? Should I phone their customer service or reply to them by letter?
  2. Do i only need to write a letter to harlands? What about Xercise4less? Xercise4less sent me an email today saying that my account has gone into default? will this affect my credit rating?
  3. Hi slick I joined the gym on 17th September 2015. I sent them notice to cancel my contract on 23rd of September 2016. While it took them until 12th October to reply saying that I was 'still in contract' My DD would usually be taken on the 19th of each month. The last DD payment was made on 19th of September 2016 Thanks for informing me that I shouldn't rely on the gym sorting this out. Please advice me what to do next. Many thanks
  4. Hi, I signed a 12 month membership with Xercise4less in September 2015. I used their cancellation form last month to tell them that i no longer wish to continue my contract with them. However, they replied saying i am 'still in contract' with them and cannot cancel. I dont understand why they say i am still in contract since I have been paying them up till September 2016. Therefore, i cancelled my direct debit to stop them from taking money from my account until they sort out my problem. However, I just received a letter from harland saying that I owe them £9.99(monthy fee) and (£25) admin fee. I contacted my local gym and they say I am out of contract and should be allowed to cancel. One of the members said they will contact head office and have my situation sorted soon. What should I do about hardlands?
