I know I shouldn't have replied but it was a letter saying they were going to county court. they have now said I need to set out the precise legal basis giving the date it was statute barred. However I cannot remember when I stopped using the account, I think it was in 2005 maybe 2006 and I don't even know the details of the account ie account number ect. What do I need to reply. Hi I received a letter last week from Mortimer Clarke regarding an old debt from 2005/6, it was an overdraft. I replied stating this debt was statute barred I have now received another letter stating that last payment was made on December 2014. This is absolutely not true. I have never made any payment towards this and certainly not in 2014. What do I now? How can I prove this?
