  1. Hi Slick, The bulk of the message is below, I cancelled this from my bank, but during this I was switching banks as well so cancelled it again from the new bank on the 5th April. I got the email below yesterday 20th and today the DD was there again, I've cancelled it straight when I saw it. Notification of*Reinstated Direct Debit Instruction re *Anytime Fitness Dear*ozy I am writing to advise that as from*20/04/2016*your Direct Debit under the reference below has been reinstated: *Account Name: ozy *Account Number: *xxxx *Bank Sort Code: *xxxxxx *Service User*Num
  2. HI Slick I haven't had anothing back other than an email saying they have reinstated the direct debit which they have done without my approval, I've had to cancel this again with my bank, I can't see any funds taken yet. Are they allowed to do this? Thanks
  3. Thanks Slick, I'll do this on email for the time being...
  4. Hi Slick First communication from the club, this was emailed to me. Thank you for being a member of Anytime Fitness. You may not be aware but* your account is currently in arrears by £24.99. It is highly important that you contact the Club as soon as possible so we can rectify this for you.*Please do not ignore this letter. If any of the team can help you make better use of your membership, please don't hesitate to ask for assistance. May I remind you, as per the terms and conditions of your membership, you must remain a member at the club until your commitment end
  5. Hi Slick, Just an update, I've had nothing from the gym or there agents, should I do anything the next DD is due to be taken on the 1st? Thanks,
  6. Morning Slick, DD has been refunded, guess the fun is going to start now
  7. Thanks Slick I've requested the refund with my bank tonight, so we'll go from there. The gyms admin company is clubwise, not sure if you've had dealings with them before?
  8. Is there any angle on the fact they never made me aware of my extended cancellation rights, I knew about the 7 days but not the 14 as had never seen the agreement?
  9. OK, Thanks Slick, I'll sleep on it tonight. How confident are you that this way will work?
  10. Hi Slick, I'll have a think about it, this isn't harlands if that has a bearing on your advice? How long do I have to claim back for a DD, would a payment made on 1st Feb count? Thanks,
  11. Thanks Slick Not really keen on going that route if the contract is legit. I've voiced concerns about a few things but nothing has been done and the constant mess up with my membership fee has just pushed me over, albeit its only small amounts but that's not the point. I might see if they'll do a deal and buy myself out, didn't really want to go down that route, but I'm probably going to be paying for an additional gym now anyway
  12. Just to add when I signed up I was told I would be able to cancel within the first 12 weeks of opening, but that was purely verbal from someone who no longer works there
  13. Hi Slick, many thanks for your reply, please see answers below. 1. When you joined on the Pre Sales event, were you given any paperwork or agreement. No I wasn't given anything, I had to ask for the agreement yesterday which is the first time I've seen it. 2. Did you get any email after the Pre Sales sign-up. No I wasn't sent any emails. 3. Apart from the mess-up with the DD pay't, why do you now want to leave the gym. To be honest I don't like the environment I'm training in, I'm quite picky in finding the right training environment. 4. Did you sign up IN the gym or elsew
  14. This is the agreement, I've taken out the dates, there's nothing else in there meaning it relates to me I'll get in touch with my bank, it's only £4, but it's not the amount, the gym shouldn't have messed up
  15. I can post the entire agreement up if you like, there isn't anything to identify me on there just some dates? I can't see anything in it about responsibilities. How does the DD guarantee work, I've never looked into it before THanks for coming back to me
