  1. Hello, I am in the same disgusting situation with GE Money on a £45000 loan taken out last year in Feb. i pay £425, now gone up an extra £97 which i just cant afford at all now in this climate. any advice on how to approach them to rearrange payments will be og great help if that is at all possible, urgent help needed pleaseeeeeee. JL
  2. Pleae please can someone help urgently. I seem to be coming to the end of the road with my claim against Woolwich/Barclays. They have offered settlement but there is some discrepancy with their figures and mine. Am still unsure really which charges are to be repaid and which are. this is the basis for the discrepancy and i cant understand the codes they use. On the list of charges, these are the abbreviations used - DC/MC/OD/RC/UC/IC. I do understand the OD for overdraft, RC for returned cheques and have calculated these. But am lost on the rst, specifically IC for which they have NOT added any at all in the final settlement of £2600. i have noticed that none with IC written next to it have been refunded to me. Does it stand for 'interest charge' and is not refundable? would be so grateful for clarification so i can agree to an amount with this desperate Dino fellow from Barclays and halt sending my bundle to the courts on the deadline of tomorrow 21st Feb, as my court date is 7/3/07. Million thanks in advance. Hopefully i can get the rsponse on my email address of [email protected], as i find it hard to get replies from this site
  3. Hi maris, do give them a call to request full settlement. that is the general advice given here. i was shocked to get a phone from them to offer settlement last night. you can call this kind fellow (Dino) on 02071161943) who may help or lead you onto th eperson dealing with your case. barclays were more or less desperate to settle with me for over £3000. hope this helps Jacqui
  4. hello all good helpful people, had surprise call last evening from barclays (a v. polite guy called Dino) wanting to settle my total claim befor the hearing in Bromley court on 7th of March. however, he quoted me a lesser figure which i rejected, but was anxious to say that the heading Office must have got their figures wrong. they seemed to do this often. He promise dto get back to me as soon as he gets the right figures to settle. That was great and so relieving to see that they chose to call me out of the blue and are desperate to settle. thought i should update all who have supported me so far
  5. thanks. will do that. another question pls. where do i go to get the template that will automatically calculate the interest owed me on my £2400+ claimed, as well as adding the court fees to that. sorry i misread my case date. its on 7th of march i think. so i gather i should call them about 2 weeks before this to request if they are ready to settle on the full amount with the above additions , right? thanks. jacqui
  6. thanks for the prompt reply, Welshman. what do you mean by me knowing how to handle them say 2 weeks before my hearing. Also my hearing does not say a 'directions hearing like read for others. just a hearing in march. jacqui
  7. hello welshman, this is jacqui. been silent for some weeks now because i was on holiday. Congratulations! Where can i find out how you came about winning?. I came back to see the shocking letter from the court that my case has been set for March 12th against Barclays. To be honest i am very terrified at he moment when i think of it. i have got to get all the paper work ready for that. any help or advice will be highly appreciated. thanks. jacqui

  9. how to i go irectly to my threads when i sign on or get replies there to follow on from previous messages. i cant get all my messages in one thread as you advised. have read the relevant pages but still terrified of how to go on with the questionnare and return the forms to court by 26/11/06
  10. Hi Welshman, sorry for bogging you again. Pls could you confirm to me whether after paying this extra £100 to the courts when sending back my questionnaire, they will calculate and add all the inerest to my £2500 claim?. i am terrible with figure and didn't know how to do that. i ahve posted a new thread soewhere to find out whether my account will be closed as barclays continues to claim £35 charges so over this whole period i have maxed and now gone over my agreed OD limit of £2500. will they demand all this be paid in say a month, or close my account? any such experinces from anyone? thanks. jacqui
  11. Pls can anyone help me with some info. I am about to send my court questionnaire back. I did not know how to calculate interest on the £2500 chargs i am claiminf from barclays. will the courts do that for me if i win? how do i stop barclays from continuing to levy their horrendous £35 charge on my account which is in dispute? what i am claiming equates my £2500 overdraft which has now bwwn maxed because of chargesover 6 years. will barclays give in eventually and forceme to repay all this at once or within a month which is impossible? or will they balnce it out with the reclaimed charges? has anyone had their woolwich openplan account closed with a similar situation like mine? sorry for asking so mna questions bout am at a loss as toproceeding with all these court business i am not familair with thanks
  12. oh i found it. will go on to read what to do with the allocation questionnaire. i got Form N149. another question please. how do i get directly to this thread of mine when i log onto this site? i ahve tried going to private messages but it always tells me its empty. thanks in advance. Jacqui

  14. Hi Welshman i have just gone to my thread as you indicated but the mail does not appear here when i come back to yours. will u be able to read it from there. sorry to sound daft, this is all very new to me. does this mean i don't send replies from here anymore? but always go to the link you gave me? jacqui
  15. hi, hopefully this is the right 'thread' although i never seem to know how to get to this directly when i log onto the site. thanks for the reply Welshman. can i clarify that if i did not calculate the interest from the totall figure claimed ( because i did not know how to do it) can i do so now as i return my questionnaire? will struggle badly with that as figures are a nightmare for me. will i ahve to send a copy of the charges to the courts that the bank sent me? any help will be appreciated
