  1. Hi - yes the address is not one of my addresses. Since moving to UK in 2000 from Zimbabwe we have lived at 3 addresses, if you look on the electoral role you will see that the addresses all add up (ie moving from one to the next) also how long I have been on electoral role, 1st address was 4 years, 2nd address was 4 years and current address 8 years. Moved from my 2nd address in June 07 and was added on at my new address in June 2007. This info is also on my credit file. They said I was at the address on the CCJ in 2014 but you can see from all the info that I was at my current address (I have also contacted Equifax and Experian to dispute this info but have not heard back from them yet). I have no idea how they managed to get the address, there is no linked address on my credit with that address. Does that explain and is it enough to get it set aside. They did say they would investigate, if thats the case will they explain why Experian used the wrong address or should I case the credit agencies to find out what has happened. Would they not have had to give me copies of the documents they submitted to County Court as well to get the CCJ issued or can they just go ahead without letting me have the info. What I am talking about is the blue form you get prior to CCJ being issued.(N1 CPC) or how would they notify me that CCJ was about to be issued? Does that make sense? Sharon
  2. Right gave them a call with no joy - they are sooooo stubborn. Said they could not have the CCJ set aside as it was definitely for me, despite me not given them my dob or current address. I gave them my name and the address where the CCJ was sent to. She did say the debt was for Aqua Credit Card. I did have one many years ago which I had an agreement with were they were supposed to stop interest etc and freeze the account, I think the last time I used it was over 5 years ago. They said they would contact their client and get copies of everything sent to the "other address" they had on file, which is my current address. She quoted dates saying copies of notice of assignment together with letters re the CCJ were sent to my current address but as they did not hearing anything back from me they went about using "reliablable" information from Experian and used the other address, she did say it would be looked into as I explain that if they looked at the voters role they would see that I have only had 3 address which all correspond. So it looks like they will not have the CCJ set aside and it will be up to me to get this done. So need the following help: 1) How do I get it set aside 2) Will bailiffs now come to my current address now that they realise they have the wrong address or will they have to issue a new CCJ. 3) Should I write to creditor who is Robinson Way asking for relevant paperwork to prove debt etc. Still in shock about how arrogant they were, not even an apology saying we will put everything on hold and look into the matter just an out right "the debt is yours so you must pay" - really upsetting. I have had to downsize all my accounts due to medical problems as well as reduce work hours and there monthly salary over the last couple of years as it will be ongoing medical problems, I do get DLA because of them so don't need all this making me stressed. 3. Hi and thanks. Very clear now - understand that is still owned by Vanquis and not the other two!! Have had no notice of assignment etc so was also a bit confused as I did not also fancy any more dca's coming on board!!! Just as a matter of interest, if you pay one of the dca does the money go to them or the original creditor. Was just wonder if it does go to the dca's if they make their payments!!! Thanks for your help clearing this up, much appreciated. Shay
  4. Hi - yes they have stopped interest etc and agreed on a payment plan which went a bit out the window for a couple of months due to hubby loosing his job. They are sending me monthly statements were the figure is the same but it says on the statement next to the account summary that I should contact moorcraft as it has been passed over to them to recover the outstanding debt. If that is the case why are they still sending me monthly statements with payment due date etc and also why is another company chasing for the debit. Just received December statement with a due date of 04/01/16. Soooo confusing. Shay
  5. Hi - I have checked my credit report and all it has is Vanquis no Moorcroft or PRA. Can Vanquis still send me statements (last one I received as 29/11/15) saying debt is being handled by Moorcroft and then also get a letter from PRA saying they are dealing with the debt. Can two debt collection agencies handle the debt at the same time and if yes should they not be on the credit report. I don't understand why I am receiving monthly statements if my account has been "handed over" as well??? Any advice? Shay
  6. Hi - I have an account with Vanquis that went into arrears. Organised a payment plan with them but had to stop as hubby was made redundant and could not afford it. Heard nothing from Vanquis but got letter from Moorcroft saying they were handling debt. Then a couple of months ago started getting statements from Vanquis with a note on the statement that debt had been passed to Moorcroft. PRA have now been phoning and writing (since about 2 weeks ago) saying they are now responsible for the debt!!! My query is this - if I am still receiving statements does this mean my account is in default? If it says on the Vanquis statement that Moorcroft are responsible can PRA still contact me as have been getting at least 4 calls a day on my mobile which I have not been answering. Should I carry on paying Vanquis even though they have not acknowledged my reduced payment plan now that they are sending me statements? The debt is for £1516. Any advice. Shay
