  1. Hi everyone, I'm sorry I haven't replied. I made a point to stay off the internet for while, I was only making myself feel worse. It's all sorted again, and luckily I was able to put a stop to my IS being cancelled, otherwise I would have to make a completely new claim.
  2. I feel better that I've informed them, a little silly for cancelling the claim.
  3. We've been split up since February, I tried to live on what little money I had, and did a few hours work. Unfortunately I would of continued working, but I couldn't sort out child care, for the hours that were available at the time , it was mostly late evenings and weekends. My parents helped for a while, but my mum had a stroke a few years ago, and it was just too much. I had hoped that me and my husband could work things out I do not want to be a single mum especially at 34....past my prime lol. As for cancelling my claim, like I said I panicked , I have made myself extremely ill with worry, dropping over a stone in a few days. I was thinking straight. I feel very silly now, as I have calmed down a little, after a shot or two of whisky . I now realise I may of blown everything out of proportion , but thats me.
  4. I've tried to enjoy my day today with my daughter, left my phone at home so I don't Google anymore about it.
  5. Hello there everyone, hoping for some advice please. I split up with my husband back in February 2015, but didn't claim benifits till May 2015 . I did a little bit of paid work for my old boss between February & April, but got myself in a lot financial difficulty ,so I bit the bullet and made my claim. I only get 91.20 a fortnight, as I receive carers allowance for my disabled son. On the 30th of June my husband gave me £700 to pay an enforcement officer who came to my house , he did this by bank transfer . I decided to find out from CAB if this would be OK , and they've said that I should ring up and come clean . So today in a blind panic I've told DWP that not only about the £700 but that I no longer wanted to claim ! Don't asked what I was thinking ,but I've done it. What I want to know is will they take serious action over a overpayment of £400.? Or will I have to pay it back?
