  1. This is the problem we have, we have had no correspondence whatsoever about this account, the first we heard of it was seeing it on his credit report.
  2. Thanks for this really useful information. I shall send the CCA request to the London Scottish House address. I would usually include a reference number but as we do not know what this is for we don't have a ref no - what would you suggest including instead? The credit record only shows the last 3/4 digits of the account number.
  3. Has anyone had any dealings with this company? My partner has recently checked his credit record and has two defaults - both from Mail order catalogues (one of which his mum has opened in his name and defaulted on) and the other has the above company name against it. Our original thoughts were both accounts were opened by his mum however she swears that she only opened one and my partner has never applied for any credit whatsoever. I'm assuming this is a DCA and I would like to send out a CCA request to both companies but I am struggling to find a contact address for this
  4. Hi all, I am new to this site and have been looking through lots of threads which have been really useful but thought I'd post my current issues. My partner and I have recently signed up to Experian and Call credit to see our credit reports and we've vowed to clear up our debts. Default 1 - Capital one Credit Card £373 - passed to Frederickson Int and I received a letter advising they will offer a discount to settle (no figure mentioned) however the default will only show as partial settlement.   5. Thanks for that. I shall send the cca requests tomorrow. Silly question but what am I looking for as and when they respond? How do I know if ppi or penalty charges should be reclaimed? Ive just got off the phone to frederickson - they will accept £261 but this will show as partial settlement. I have to admit they were 100x more approachable than Moor Croft amd have put a 30 day hold on the account for me to decide if I want to settle or set up a payment plan. Certainly not what I expected!
  6. Thanks. I realised that when I contacted the companies to advise of our situation and that I would be unable to pay on a couple of occasions this time last year! All I can do now is try to correct things as much as possible.

My report currently shows 3 defaults - it is probably worth noting that the reason behind these was my partner had a motorcycle accident on boxing day 2013 and was unable to work for over 3 months so we had to try to manage on my income and a bit of SSP for him.
