Thanks Steampowered. We have an offer and acceptance letter but when buying land, both parties must sign a contract, according to the law. Instead I agreed to pay the developers solicitor to transfer it.

I bought a parcel of 3 small plots of land from a property developer 11 years ago at the rear of my garden. I have letters agreeing to the amount and a plan of the plots. Their solicitor transferred the title but omitted one plot. I didn't notice at the time. The developer now claims they own it, even though all correspondence shows that the sale was for 3 plots. They claim the agreement must have been amended but can show no evidence. What are my options. Can't afford a solicitor. The plot is worth £1200 according to them.
