I moved house and the Halifax charged me £2000 to end my mortgage a year early and put it down as a exit fee. Can i claim this back ?

When i moved home the Halifax charged me about 2k to cahnge my mortgage and they said it was because i was ending my mortgage a year early. Can i claim this back ?

I had a mortgage with Gmac and have over £2000 in late payment fees.. I have sent them the first letter and have received a reply back but they are addamant they are not paying anything back.. Do I have a chance of getting this cash back ?

Sent a data protecyion letter about 4 weeks ago for which i rececived a quick reply and a copy of my card statements. Sent them a letter with ,my total charges which was £250 but did not add the interest on so just asked for that amount. Recieved a letter this morning from complaint dept saying that the charges were fair and they are not willing to make a paynent to me. Whats my next step ?
