  2. Hi all again, just a quick update and question. I've now sent off the letter of authorization 1st class recorded delivery. now for the question, is the letter below ok for my covering letter for the repayment mortgage claim I'm doing for my dad and mum. Or should I claim the mortgage and two loans all in one letter? Letter: Headquarters Trinity Road Halifax West Yorkshire HX1 2RG Date:00/00/0000 Dear Sir/Madam Ref: 00000000 (policy number) We are writing in regards to the aforementioned policy which we were sold by you Halifax in conjunction with are application for a repayment mortgage on 00/00/0000. We now believe that we were mis-sold this policy because we were: Not asked whether we already had sufficient cover in place at the time the policy was sold to us Not informed that the policy premium was to be added to are mortgage as a single premium and therefore attract interest Not informed that the PPI policy would expire before we had fully repaid the mortgage Not informed that PPI had been added to are mortgage or that the policy was optional Not made aware of the features, exclusions and terms of cancellation relating to the PPI cover As such, unless you can prove that this policy was sold to us fairly and that it is, in itself, fair and reasonable, we request a full refund of all premiums and subsequent interest on these payments that we made towards this policy to date. We will also ask that you add the 8% statutory interest deemed as reasonable by the courts to each payment we made. We have included questionnaire, calculations of what is owed, statements and agreements. Under the FCA guidelines, Halifax has 8 weeks to resolve are complaint. We trust that you will deal with are case within this period. If not, We will refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service.   4. Are ok then xd, And I just changed the SAR letter to fit what was needed to be said. Is there anything you would change or should I just have my mum sign it and send it recorded delivery. Thanks Andrew

  6. Hi all again, Had a letter from Halifax, it was dated 20/11/2014 and I got it on the 22/11/2014. It said thank you for contacting us, they've received the £10 fee and said they have started requesting information on all accounts. It will be sent on or before the 30th December 2014. It's also said if there are joint accounts and only one party has signed, that the other party will need to send written authority within the next 7 days quoting the DSAR Ref number. Now it is a joint account with my dad and mum so can someone give me a template for an authority letter? because I'd like to get the letter sent off tomorrow. I'll upload the letter also encase I've missed something. Many Thanks Andrew Has anyone found themselves in the same situation? I can't seem to find any authority letters anywhere on this website.   7. Good to know renegadeimp thanks, So what does he do now? I'm guess proof is going to be needed? he has a lot of payslips, and will probably be able to have witnesses to the fact he has so little breaks.

  9. Hi renegadeimp thanks for the quick reply, He works 6 days a week: 8-5:30 Monday to Friday 8-1:30 Saturday The only break he gets is a 10min at dinner (between 12pm and 2pm) and sometimes not one at all. This is why I thought I should ask about it, what should he do? Thanks Andrew
  10. Hi all again, sorry if I've put this in the wrong place but not sure where it would go. My sister's partner has been working at [removed] for about 5 years now, and he's brought to my attention that he believes he's not being payed for the hours he is working. Now he starts work at 8am and only finishes when "the job is done" which is normally half 5 to 6pm. He gets weekly payslips and he's latest pay slip (21/11/14) says: TAXABLE PAY: 260.85 NON-TAXABLE: PAY 0.00 TOTAL PAY: 260.85 INCOME TAX: 13.60 NATIONAL INSURANCE: 12.94 NET PAY: 234.31 TAX CODE: 1000L Now in the hours column it doesn't have any hours in it at all. Surly the company has to put the hours he works. As always any advice is much appreciated. Thanks Andrew

  12. GOOD NEWS! NatWest send me a letter today about my complaint. I'll upload the letter but the main points are: Even though NatWest believe I haven't been unfairly indebted and all the charges have been applied correctly in line with there published Terms and Conditions. Due to my personal circumstances as a good old gesture of goodwill they have agreed to refund all charges and a £90 unarranged borrowing fee. So was £314 in the red, today I'm £17.82 in the good old black! So as thanks to the great people here for helping me out I'll be donating £7 to this wonderful website after posting.   13. Just had Natwest trying to talk to me on the phone. They rang the house asking for me, I answered and was told they tried calling him on his mobile. Good job I forgot to update them I had a new mobile number I said he (me) wasn't in, so they said they would sent me a letter. My letter got to them on the 17/11/2014 8:48am, I look forward to what they will say about my charges. Andrew

  18. Would they just go off my name then? I thought you'd need an account number as a starting reference for the company to workout who you are. At the moment I've got the full SAR typed up with this address: Shop Direct Limited 1st Floor Skyways House Speke Road Speke Liverpool L70 1AB And my Littlewoods account number in the Account/ref number bit of the letter.   20. Hi dx100uk, I left this last to post about, because as you can see there's a lot of charges spreading over 3 and a half years almost. That's why I think I need to SAR them because only the dates with days in are what i have a statement off. My question is who do I SAR, is Littlewoods owed by Shop Direct Finance Ltd and if so do I send the SAR to them or Littlewoods. And how would I go about claiming the charges back? Thanks Andrew

I currently owe them £292.95 and have been paying them token payments since May with a DMC. In the time i was in the DMC I had a lot of charges from Littlewoods. I've sent the DMC a SAR because they messed up some other debts of mine too and I want to see what they did. I was wondering if I can claim the money back and can I get the charges removed from my credit report, because they cant be legal. Also how much of this £292.95 should I pay if a lot of it has been charges. Now my old DMC said when i closed the account down that I owed the Littlewoods debt to Shop Direct Finance Ltd. Also my credit report says I owe Shop Direct Finance Ltd and the data goes back as early as November 2010. Any advice on how to proceed would be much obliged. Andrew

  23. Hi citizenb, Just something i want to run by you, I've just been looking at my credit report and when looking at what payday express have put. I've found they've put a few arrangement to pay and a lot of late payments. Now the arrangement to pay are on March, April and May. June, 2 late payments July, 2 late payments August, 2 late payments September, 2 late payments October, 2 late payments Now i joined a DMC mid May and ended it in Nov, so I'm wondering can I get theses removed. Because they are wrong on the basis that my DMC was paying token payments, well they said they was anyway. I've already sent my DMC a SAR to see how they've been handling my other creditors. Any advice on how to proceed would be much obliged. Thanks Andrew
