  1. Thanks for that. No I have been with them for many years and have had same address for over 7 years. Like I said I have money going in and a couple of monthly payments coming out. It is not like I missed a direct debit and then did not pay it

I have never linked my account to something and not paid it or defaulted on it.

I'm inclined to think it is an error on their part, as I can't think of what it may relate to.

I shall go into branch and see if I can find out what it is, I just hope it is a typical "clerical error"

The only hassle I have ever had was a while back, I went in to the branch and paid cash in, this showed on my account immediately, as is normal, I then paid my mortgage and transferred cash to my wife later that day.

I then received an unauthorised overdraft notice, when I looked at account the cash I paid in had jumped from the Friday to the Monday, I wrote to them to reverse charges and no charges were ever taken, although I never received confirmation.

Surely, if they are charging a court order fee, rightly or wrongly, I should have been notified ??

  2. Hi,

I am a newbie on here and would like some guidance if possible.

This morning I checked my RBS current account balance to notice a charge of £25 for a court order fee.

I have absolutely no idea what this is for as I have had no mail relating to this and I am at a loss as to what it is for.

The only items I pay from this is mortgage (never missed), Vodafone (never missed) and a monthly magazine subscription (again, never missed.

I have never had a loan or any other such arrangement through this account.

I do have another bank account I will use in the meantime.

Has anyone else had experience of this ??

    Any help welcome
