(well, even if I did contact them, I 'm unable to pay it back at the moment. just don't want criminal record...This combine with debts seems like a very grim outlook for my -already not bright looking- future :/ If anyone have any more irrelevant info , please post it here. Any advise is greatly appreciated. L
  2. There also seems to be some confusion regarding definition of "fraudulent overpayment". I never admitted that I committed fraud because I did not. I had no intention to claim money I wasn't entitled to, but I due to ignorance (it was first and only time I claimed) I did not notify about change in circumstances. I was clueless about the benefit law at that time and scared that I will end up in jail (! yep, I was terrified) I accepted the Admin. Penalty... Im now finding that acceptance of Admin. Penalty equals admitting fraud(?!) So I don't want to make the same mistake and just not conta

  4. Good afternoon everyone. Im new to forum. Signed on in desperate need for help. My DRO has been approved and ended in September 2013. I had various debts including Housing Benefit overpayment. This has been INCLUDED in the DRO. The problem is that this overpayment included Administrative Penalty. The DRO letter states that "ALL debts included in DRO will be written off when DRO ends". However, Im just finding here and there that Housing Benefits overpayment accrued fraudulently CANNOT be written off and CAN still be recovered after DRO ends. It has been a year since DRO ended and
