  1. Indeed Antone, in fact the lady I dealt with here in Belfast was rather amazed at this happening, however after several phone calls the error was rectified. Still can't quite believe it!
  2. I am having a Victor Meldrew moment, yes I don't believe it. Having lived in Northern Ireland for over a year and still on ESA WRAG, I received a letter today about going for a Work Focussed Interview. Fine, no problem, except it was sent by my old jobcentre in Manchester, I haven't lived in Manchester for over a year. Furthermore, the letter said I will be subject to sanction if I don't attend the interview in Manchester, yes I am not making it up. Fortunately after going to my local JC here in Belfast, the matter was looked into and seemingly resolved, much to my relief. All I can say is the system must be in absolute chaos back in England, if my letter is anything to go by!
  3. Do keep us up to date. Clearly the Post Work Programme Support should be somewhat different for ESA claimants, although no doubt the Jobcentre will try and get this changed as time goes on.
  4. There is also the question of arrogance and lack of professionalism with these individuals who work for the providers. In my short time at Seetec, I saw mature men and women treated and spoken to like children and the complete ignorance when it came to differentiating between ESA and JSA participants was nothing short of a joke, believe me I could go on and on........ They are set targets which in turn generates profit, greed is the all important factor. It is a sales position pure and simple, humanity is simply not part of the equation!
  5. I thought this thread was about the Work Programme or am I missing something?
  6. Osdset is absolutely spot on. Seetec are a law unto themselves, no letters, verbal interaction or threats deter these [edited]. I am so glad I no longer have to deal with them!
  7. Seemingly not, some people are getting reassessed as per normal while others are still waiting. The DWP have been giving out conflicting information, there are other threads dealing with this subject in more detail.
  8. I don't think there will be any deferrals here in N Ireland, I am due to be reassessed in November, so will be expecting the dreaded envelope through my door in September.
  9. If it is indeed optional, then stay well away from it! I am always deeply suspicious of the so called "help" provided by the DWP, as it usually means no help at all. Looks like another pointless exercise that will tick boxes for the drones that work there.
  10. Well done on being put in the Support Group. In theory you should not be reassessed for another three years, this however is not set in stone, as the DWP can reassess claimants at anytime. The system is overloaded at the moment and a huge backlog is occurring in many parts of the country, so hopefully you will not be called in again for a good while yet!
  11. I think she did Mr.P, your point is valid however. To be entirely honest I was glad to be rid of Seetec, I only ever spoke to the woman once and moved to N Ireland shortly thereafter. Twelve months with the sods was quite sufficient!
  12. How true. What really irked me when I was sentenced to my two years with Seetec, was the constant changing of advisors without any notification either verbally or in writing. The last "coach" I had didn't even bother to identify herself when she rang me up, just launched straight into a conversation about some mysterious course she wanted me to attend.
  13. Just to clarify the situation here in N Ireland, Crisis loans, Budgeting loans and Community Care Grants are still available, until the Welfare Reform Bill is passed over here, that is the way things will remain. Welfare Reform is a highly emotive subject here in N Ireland, the major parties do not seem to be able to come to an agreement, the Bill at Stormont has been delayed for several months now. I will try and post updates as and when new information becomes available.
  14. I hope this leads to something meaningful, the cynic in me thinks otherwise!
  15. Sorry to hear of your predicament, but ATOS are a law unto themselves as regards appointments. Depending on where you live in the country, some appointments come up fairly quickly, while others take ages. It does seem strange that your doctor is only issuing you with monthly sick notes, my doctor happily gave me thirteen week ones. Perhaps things have changed in this regard, it might be worth having a word with your GP about this. On a positive note, at least you will get your money backdated if your assessment is successful.
  16. 1. Claiming JSA means you are fit and able and available for work. Are you? 2.Up to a month, according to their website. 3.All payments will be backdated if your appeal is successful.
  17. None of the Providers are credible, my experience with Seetec proves this. In fact I am surprised that Seetec have not received the same amount of criticism on this forum, in the way Ingeus has. Perhaps Ingeus are the worst of a bad bunch.
  18. Even Kafka would have difficulty in understanding the workings of the DWP! The financial difference between WRAG and SUPPORT groups is not substansial, however being in the latter group is indeed far preferable.
  19. This is a very worrying development indeed. The only person you should be dealing with in regards to your health is obviously your doctor or any other specialist you have been assigned to. The cheek of these providers to now become "health" experts is laughable, they struggle to get fit and able bodied clients into employment, how on earth will they cope with clients who have complex medical conditions for instance.
  20. Sadly, it is very much a lottery on who you get as an assessor. I received 0 points from one assessor (successful appeal), the next one gave me 27 points for exactly the same condition, bloody stupid system we have!
  21. If Ingeus know of all these hidden vacancies, surely they should be alerting clients in large numbers, clients in sustainable full time employment are surely cash earners for these people, or am I missing something.
  22. Assuming you fit certain descriptors for the Support Group, then there is a distinct possibility you will not be called in for an assessment. The bad news is, most people will be called for one and if successful, be put in the WRAG group like myself. You could request a home visit, or if you do have to go to the assessment, take someone along like a CPN or an advice worker. Good luck!
  23. It happened to me three years ago, my report was a complete fabrication, written by a so called "health" professional. I won the tribunal and just over a year later was called in for another assessment. This time I scored well over 15 points for the same condition, different nurse of course. The whole process is a complete farce, you might as well take part in a lucky dip!
