  5. They obviously don't really know what they are doing.... received a cheque yesterday from RBS. Full settlement on the day they also put in a defence? Losers!
  6. I would say the easiest way to do it is to process your claim online at www.moneyclaim.gov.uk . It's much quicker and your claim will only cost around £30 in fees. Go to this thread to see an example of a completed form from Moneyclaim http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=3663
  7. Well Candice, those bastards have put in a defence for my £532 claim only days before the expiry. Damn them to hell! Can you believe it. Not sure whether they are hoping that I won't bother paying the extra £100 for the questionaire and will cancel the claim??? So looks like I'm almost where you are. When are you set to go to court then?
  8. I've received out of court settlement for one of my claims (the smaller of the two) against RBS, however they did not admit to any liability...only said that they are paying me because it's not feasible for them to go to court considering the amount I'm claiming (£317 incl. interest and £30 court fee).
  9. Candice - just thought I'd let you know that RBS have settled my smaller claim of £317 in full before they put in a defence. Think they're just going further with you because your claim is far bigger than mine. Still waiting to hear about my claim for £532 from RBS. Good luck
  10. In the frequently asked questions section it says that only one bank has actually turned up in court to defend their case...I take it the numbers are rising and more and more banks are trying to defend their case in court? They're better off just paying me my £800 odd cos it's going to cost them a lot more than that surely? Keep me posted Candice. x
  11. Thanks - I will be putting in my claim as soon as my other claims against RBS have been settled.
  12. ....oh and well done. If only we were all good little 'bankers' like yourself.
  13. You should first find out the facts before launching an attack. I have never ever paid my credit card instalment late. The overlimit charges where charged once I had paid my monthly instalment (which is always more than my minimum payment), as a result of the interest which they charge on the 10th of the month (after which my instalment is due). So I've gone over by a pound or two due to my interest being charged and am then hit with a further £20 in charges. Your reply would probably be 'well then calculate the interest'....which I do, but I'm obviously out by a few pounds here and
  14. Oh God, I guess this means I'll be off to court soon too. RBS have acknowledged both my claims and will probably put in a defence nearer to the 28 days deadline. Not looking forward to it.
  15. Well it was only £40. They only replied to my first letter after I had already sent the second letter, agreeing to refund only £20. A week later (this week) I received a reply to the second letter saying that they would refund the other £20 as well.
