  1. A friend is a landlord would her mortgage company find out her mail was being redirected?
  2. Recently went to Specsavers for an eyetest, was by the optician who really rushed my eye test and just wanted me out the door, that my eyes had become weaker since last visit, was asked what I use my my glasses for - replied I use glasses for everyday and VDU work. Optician tells me to keep using my OLD glasses for everyday use and she will give a new prescription for VDU work. It hit my after I left specsavers, the optician was telling me to use my OLD glasses for everyday but use the new prescription in the new glasses for VDU work only!!! Surely using OLD glasses with a OLD prescription for everday use, then using the new prescription for VDU work would have a negative effect on my eyes? The eye test also felt rushed and not properly done, it was done in less than 5 mins and was not thorough enough
  3. Royal Mail Redirect Post - Does the sender get notified your post is being redirected?
  4. I bought an item on Ebay, which the seller claimed had only been used 1 time and was in excellent condition, the only reason why i bought the item. The item arrived damaged, i requested a return as item not as decribed and arrived damaged. Seller refused to accept a return, instead she blamed me for the damage, saying i had caused the damaged and had swapped item and the pictures I had shown of the damage were fake. Seller claimed she has a witness who saw her send the item in mint condition, but i told her it arrived damaged with a dent/chipped, with scratches etc and obviously not used the 1 time as seller claimed. Anway the seller then made a threat take me to smalls court (when she had my money and sent me a damaged item) and is still refusing to take the item back and still blaming me and now claims she can get a witness statement to say she sent the item in mint condition - if thats the case as seller claims, why it did arrived damaged!! In the email exchange with the seller, she is trying to make herself look the victim in all of this. The item is of over £250 Raised return request on Ebay, but seller is blaming me for the damage, how crazy is that, she sent an item not as described, anway time to escalate to Ebay and get Ebay involved because the seller is not admitting the item i received is damaged, even after showing pictures and still blaming me, what do I tell Ebay when I escalate item not as decribed, arrived damaged, seller not accepting responsibility, blaming me for the damage? As for the sellers witness statement to say she sent the item in mint condition, that doesn't count because my pictures show the damage, please please help
  5. Thanks I will polish that up, but I think what you've written is to the point, what would be the next step if I'm not happen with the response from the practice, is it common practice to surgeries to not really address the issue and sweep it under the carpet? Because a good PM would address the issue and not blame targets or increased workload. Oh...the surgery does not have enough GP's to deal with patients as well
  6. think about it I'm talking about this oarticular practice, where it is 9/10 times its impossible to get a same day appointment over the telephone...WHY...because by the time you get through...all the appoitments for that day are all gone, so your told to either try again in the morning at 8am (where 9/10 times the same thing will happen again) OR you get told to QUEUE outside the surgery, which is not a good thing to tell the elderly patients, is it? As I said with regards to online booking services, they can only release AVAILABLE appointments, if there are none then it cannot release them. Well AVAILABLE appoitments at this surgery are rarely released, its a shambles, appointments seem to be held back, whats the point in this surgery having an online appoitmnet system and claiming you can book '3 days in advance' - when clearly this is not true At this practice the receptionist are bad mannered and thats 1st thing in the morning, so don't go on about how stressed these receptionist are, thats baloney and you know it!! Its part and parcel of their job, they should deal with it. You can get an appointment in the time you can in YOUR surgery You sound upset? - its beggers belief that this surgery is telling the frail and elderly to queue outside the surgery before it opens at 8am if they want an appointment the same day. This is wrong, how would you feel, if you were frail and elderly to be told go queue outside in the freezing weather before 8am, if you want an appoint? The ONLY queue that forms outside the surgery are patients inc the frail and elderly that queue up in the freezing weather in the hope they can get a same day appointment. I've seen it with my own eyes, WHAT would YOU say about the surgery telling these people to queue outside in the freezing weather to try to get an appointment, is it the right thing to do? Do YOU do this at YOUR surgery? In light of the information I’ve provided, that you would improve this? WRONG....A 10-minute appointment may suffice for a patient with only one problem and no other health needs, who can give a clear and concise account of their symptoms, and who is physically mobile. In reality, the majority of patients are elderly and have multiple coexisting conditions. They often have impaired mobility and memory, as well as communication difficulties, and don’t forget the wider social issues they often face. Its increasingly unfit for purpose, and does not lend itself to the type of in-depth conversations necessary to explain what are often complicated health matters. I'm talking about this surgery and the way it works NOT your surgery, it doesn't have a rating of 54% for no reason now, does it!!
  7. Yes, the complaint is not about the surgery opening up at 8am. The complaint is about the following 1. Patients queuing in the cold for up to an hour before a GP surgery opens - just to get a same day/routine appointment. The sick and elderly have to wait outside in all weather, Patients are said to start queuing at around 7am every day, although the surgery doesn’t open its doors until 8.00am. What if you are elderly and living on your own? You can’t expect them to come and queue. It’s disgusting. There are lots of old people standing in the freezing cold in the middle of winter. The system needs to change. There are queues every morning. The weather is only going to get colder This surgery does not even release online slots where you can book an appointment online, all slots are magically taken up at 8am!! One of the requirements of the practice’s contract is that people should be able to make appointments by phone. The surgery's phone lines are frequently engaged, making it 'impossible' to make an appointment The upshot is a scene that resembles a Soviet-era bread queue, as locals in various states of ill-health wait patiently for a few minutes of their GP's time. When I visited a few weeks ago, some were obviously in considerable discomfort. 2. The receptionist telling patients to ring at 8am in the morning for same day appointments which are impossible to make as phone lines are busy and by time you manage to get through your told there are no appointments left when they finally get to the through to the reception. All same day appointments for some reason all get taken up within 6 mins of the surgery opening. 3. Routine appointments which the surgery has a notice on wall claiming 'you can book 3 days in advance' is pure nonsense because every time I've rang I've been told 'nothing is available' - even when I've asked for 2-3 weeks in advance!!! This is disgraceful
  8. Yes, complain to the Surgery, I highly doubt it will make a difference, they will whitewash the complaint. Whats the CCQ, can they make the surgery change? The sick and elderly who have to wait outside in all weather outside the surgery, do not have an appointment, they are trying to get a same day appointment to see a GP. The receptionist told me I had to either call at 8am to try to get an appointment, which magically all disappear in less than 5mins!! Phoneline is constantly engaged and even if you got through at 8.05 you will be told 'sorry no appointments available', thats why people wait outside. This surgery needs a good solid complaint so they can mend their ways
  9. Yes, I would welcome your help honybee Can also add the surgery claim you can 'book 3 days in advance' but I've been trying for the past 2 weeks to get an appointment with my GP only to be told 'there is nothing available' - This falls flat in the face of the surgery claiming you can 'book 3 days in advance' They also expect you to take a day off work to queue outside in the hope of trying to get an appointment the same day. This is disgusting!!
  10. I've seen people in the queue when I have had to queue to try to get a same day appointment. The GP surgery tell people to queue outside the surgery before it opens in the hope of trying to get a same day appointment, this is disgusting. The Surgery has an approval rating of 62% - that shows how badly it is being run. The surgery is getting away with this disgusting behaviour because nobody has complained.
  11. People are regularly being forced to wait outside in the cold, only to be told there are no appointments left when they finally get to the counter. The surgery's phone lines are frequently engaged, making it 'impossible' to make an appointment. The upshot is a scene that resembles a Soviet-era bread queue, as locals in various states of ill-health wait patiently for a few minutes of their GP's time. When I visited a few weeks ago, some were obviously in considerable discomfort. Hello honybee, Many of those queuing seem frail and elderly are having to queue from 7am onwards outside in the freezing cold weather, I've seen it myself, when I've had to queue to try to get a GP appointment the same day. So shocking how they run the place. It must change before someone dies.
  12. Sick and elderly have to wait outside in all weather in the cold for up to an hour before a GP surgery opens - just to get an appointment. Patients are said to start queuing at around 7am every day, although the surgery doesn’t open its doors until 8.00am. What if you are elderly and living on your own? You can’t expect them to come and queue. It’s disgusting. There are lots of old people standing in the freezing cold in the middle of winter. The system needs to change. There are queues every morning. The surgery should open up its doors earlier and have a ticket system, whereby the surgery doors open early to let them inside that way Sick and elderly are not waiting in the cold. The weather is only going to get colder and colder, please help me draft up a complaint to the surgery to get them to change their ways.
  13. O.k, but they still have not changed the DD amount for next months payment, what should I say when I ring them up? I have a fax from them saying next months payment would be lowered without the insurance, but the DD amount due next month is not showing that
  14. Had own for a long time, but only found out they were adding their buildings insurance to my mortgage payments recently, they still have not changed the DD amount for next month!! still showing with their buildings insurance.
  15. UPDATE... .they refused to cancel the buildings insurance, they have taken out the DD with buildings insurance included, which I requested to be cancelled. Their reply was the mortgage is 1 month in arrears, meaning Nov's mortgage DD is taken in Dec and so on...etc they said my insurance renewal which I sent them started after the date of when my mortgage is normally taken... e.g mortgage taken on 27th and the my renewal for buildings insurance, started on the 29th which is 2 days after. Thats their argument. They have told me that Dec's mortgage DD to be taken in next month in Jan will be without their buildings insurance, but I checked the DD on my account and its still showing the amount to be taken next month in Jan to include their buildings insurance, they have not changed the DD amount to not include buildings insurance. They sent me a fax to say buildings insurance would be cancelled for the Jan DD, but they have not changed it, what now?
  16. I don't know for how long they have been adding the buildings insurance to my mortgage without my knowledge, how do I find out?
  17. If I cancel the DD, I will miss the mortgage payment, it will be a default and will effect my credit rating. I will call them to ask to cancel the insurance, but if they say no or say its too late then?
  18. I did what you told me below, sent letter and copy ins cert, my direct debit is showing the next payment due to be taken out in 2 days to still have their buildings insurance included, they have not taken any notice of the letter I sent. They have not changed the DD amount to not include the buildings insurance, what can I do now I think they will come up with an excuse to not action my letter, please help
  19. Please can you help draft up a strongly worded letter and what law have they broken by adding Buildings Insurance to my mortgage without my permission, I could include that in the letter?
  20. Hi dx100uk!! I don't understand what you mean by - Yes it will? I don't have all the statements over the years, I think I may have had late penalty fees but I can't remember for sure What steps do I need to do now? I really need to get the letter drafted to cancel the buildings insurance they have added to my mortgage today with your help and sent out before my mortgage is due later this week, time is of the essence. A strongly worded letter should be enough should it not?
  21. I rang Paratus AMC Limited to ask what my mortgage repayment would be after the Bank of England Rate raise, I was not surprised to be told it had increased but was shocked when I was told Paratus AMC Limited had added Buildings Insurance Premium of nearly £50 a month to my mortgage repayments!! - which means I would be paying over £500 a year just for insurance, when the fact is I have my own buildings insurance and much lower. I asked why they had added Buildings Insurance Premium, I was told it was a legal requirement, but I've had my own Buildings Insurance in the past and never had this problem before! Now out of the blue, Paratus AMC Limited have added Buildings Insurance Premiumof close to £50 following the Bank of England Rate raise. I told them I have my own Buildings Insurance and I want the Buildings Insurance they have added to my mortgage to be cancelled, but they refused to do so, asking me to send in the insurance schedule, so they will check it and then decide if they want to cancel it or not. They also sent me a letter, detailing adding buildings insurance to my mortgage, again they should never have done this without asking for my permission and I don't need it because I have my own insurance. Paratus AMC Limited have added the Buildings Insurance illegally without my permission, they can't do this and I want it cancelled with ASAP. Please help me draft a strongly worded letter I can send to them, before my mortgage payment is due later this week. Do I really need to send them a copy of my insurance schedule or will a strongly worded letter be enough?
  22. BazzaS, your right! Spoek to the bank today, they said I made the online bank transfer and because I spoke to the lady/know the lady they can't reverse the payment and that I should ask the lady to refund me.
