I know its complicated. And I know if they overpay me, I will to pay back. But Im not refusing, I just wanted to know if this "relationship" I was in, would be considered as a joint claim instead of single like I did. Even my partner he did not support my son at all.

Please can anyone tell me if am I gonna have problems, if I claim benefits now as a couple? Please anyone?

Hi this is a bit complicated but I will try to explain the best I can. I was a single mother when I meet this guy. But my son was living abroad with my mum because I have no financial grounds to support him in the UK with me. This guy I only meet for 5 minutes said he would help me, we were in a kind of relationship as I had no place to live, after our 4th date I've moved in with a totally stranger. after a month I brought my son over to the UK and this guy said he would only keep up with rent, bills and everything else I had to provide for my son. I had no job and knew nothing about benefits, but after I couldnt get a job and had to look after my 3 year's old son. I made a claim as a single mother. I've always paid taxes and it was only the lasts 8 months I couldnt get a job. I never told the guy, He never asked anything, I didnt know how much he was earning, but we did got involved emotionally and my son started to call him daddy. The situation didnt change for 3 years until I had another baby. I stopped to claim WTC and CT e CB. But soon after he lost his job and we decided to move abroad. But now we've got no money whatsoever, he couldnt get a job here and we survived on credits cards for the last 7 months. But now everything is cancelled and we're feared to being throw out on street with our kids. We want to go back to the UK, but without job we will have to claim benefits and Im scared they will find out that I made a claim in the past as single mother but I was actually living with him. Even he never commited to support my son or pay for anything else apart from rent. I know now he was earning something around 65K a year, but him also had a lot of debt when me meet. Please can anyone tell me if I committed a fraud? or give an advise? thank you so much.
