hi, im new here little back ground, when i was as tudent i opened a bank of scotland account...got offered a huge overdraft (2000) being a skint student i snapped it up......lost my job closed account and forgot about it...it was 8 years ago.... obviously tey caught up with me, i was not aware of anywhere like this so i set up a repayment thing with LOWELL , i stupidly paid them back all but 132 of the debt.....when they contacted me origionally the debt was 4 years old..... anyway the other day i got an email from scotcall demanding the 132 or i would get a home visit....i replyed to the email with a letter from here about them having no proof etc they replyed saying it was my debt etc...so i just resent the letter and i also added in a section from the door visit letter too i heard nothing back for a week and thought great.....untill today i got the followeing LAST PAYMENT DATE 30/06/2011 LAST PAYMENT AMOUNT 132.17 PREV ADD 1 XXXXXXX PREV ADD 2 xxxxxxxxxx PREV PCODE xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx DESC BANK OF SCOTLAND - CURRENT ACCOUNT REG DATE 19/06/2009 DF START DATE 22/08/2005 DT LAST INSTALL START DT LAST INSTAL AMOUNT 132.02 ORIGINAL CLIENT : HBOS PRODUCT CODE : E009 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION : BOS CURRENT RESIDENCY : LIVING WITH PARENTS WRITE-OFF DATE : 13/01/2009 ACCOUNT OPEN DATE : 22/08/2005 WRITE-OFF BALANCE : 2378.91 LAST PAYMENT AMOUNT : 0 Hope this is of assistance to you. Regards nw...i can see it says that the balance is written off...which i assume means the bank done that and lowell then bought the debt???? would that be right?? the above info is correct from the time of the debt but i have since married 9so have different last name but my email is maided n name) and i have moved several times.....i assume they dont have my address i am at now as they have not sent a letter.. iv not paid any more of this debt off since 2009.....i found about debt companies and their wyas just before my last payment so decided to not pay it.... can someone advise me on what my next move should be?? i have not replied to the above email help haha
