  1. Hello emm4 Please can you explain what this was in response to? Thanks LOULA
  2. Hello! Have downloaded the spreadsheet. Absolutely great, formulas work a treat. My poser.... one spreadsheet per account? Even if claiming for more than one account at a time? Stupid question probably but thought I had better clarify. LOULA
  3. Sent the RD leters on 21 March. According to the Royal Mail website, it has been delivered! The £10 cheque attached has not been banked yet though. I'll keep you posted! LOULA
  4. Thanks Intersimi for posting this. I, too, am very confused by this wording. LOULA
  5. Am I correct in my interpretation of this.... 'I calculate that you have taken £XXXXX plus £XXX which you have charged me in overdraft interest for the sum which you have taken.' ... on my husbands account, which has an overdraft, he can claim back any overdraft interest? I have looked in the FAQs but couldn't see anything about this. If I have missed it please point me in the right direction. Many thanks as always LOULA
  6. What do you think if I proceed with the Joint account claim and my husbands claim as they are with the same branch? I will proceed on my sole account (another branch) when and if they give me the information I require! I know we will pay two lots of court costs but I think this is a small price to pay to get the ball rolling and get potentially £1500 back sooner than later. WHAT DO YOU THINK??????
  7. Just a quick update. I have today sent a reminder Recorded Delivery along with the £10 DPA charge but kept to the 40days I originally set them. I would have sent it Special Delivery but didn't have enough pennies thanks to the LTSB charges! They could quite easily have sent me the information requested and asked to debit the charge from my account - the one charge I would not have tried to reclaim! I will keep you posted on any response. LOULA
  8. Hello Freya! You moan away! I too have had similar problems with them. They recently charged me £105 to bounce two DD's which totalled £108.50! TOTAL INSANITY! Good luck with reading all the FAQs and Step by Step guide. It can be quite daunting but Bankfodder, Dave and the moderators are a great help if you get stuck. LOULA
  9. Perhaps it was after the text got changed??? Stop digging at me please. I have done nothing wrong.
  10. Hello and Welcome! Did you know about sending the £10 fee? If not please re-read the recently updated Step by Step guide. Good luck with your claim LOULA
  11. Hi! Exactly what I have been trying to do. I have printed the necessary pages and study them before asking any questions. All I wanted to do was make the site clearer for people. I never said Bankfodder, Dave and the Moderators aren't doing an excellent job or the site is poor. ANd for the record never would. I have been recommending you left right centre and behind! LOULA
  12. Bankfodder, I don't think you need to be quite so ascerbic. There are a lot of questions being raised by many of people and I haven't noticed you being quite so cutting with them. I have read the FAQs and Q&As also printed them, and believe me the £10 charge was very well hidden. Thank you to Dave for helping to me and also Richardc who also has helped. Surely us all working together to make the site simpler to read will make the site easier for you to manage? LOULA
  13. Many thanks. You are working hard or all of us. When I get some money I will gladly donate some amazon vouchers. LOULA
  14. Dave or Bankfodder, Please can you add the need to pay the £10 DPA charge to the Step-By-Step guide? I think I may have wasted 10-11 days of the original 40 day ultimatum by not enclosing the fee and guess the forty days will now restart when they get my money. Many thanks Excellent site LOULA
  15. Husband has opened another account as they have really messed him around. He is about to start work on his own atatements and claims. I only use the account for child benefit and maintenance so can easily change to building society cash card account. I do still have a credit card (with no charges against it) would LTSB stuff that up for me? Loula
  16. Evening All! Have already written to my branch for my sole account asking for details of charges etc. Have just checked the joint account and have over £650 of charges without checking the last 12 months. The account is with another branch of Lloyds TSB. Should I send a letter to this branch as well or wait and see what my own branch says? Has anyone else had this dilema? All advice gratefully received! LOULA You have to go as fast as you can to stay in one place, to get anywhere you have to go faster than that!
  17. Thank you. So to recap ( pregnant so no brain cells ).... I need to send reminder letter by Recorded or Special delivery also containing £10 to cover the DPA charge. Can someone add this to the FAQ's please, I couldn't see it anywhere.
  18. Sorry... £10 for what exactly? Would you like me to copy my first letter to them onto here?
  19. Many thanks. I will send a copy of the original and covering letter by RD on Monday. Do you also know how far back I can go with online statements? Are they "admissible" if I get as far as suing the barstewards? Loula.
  20. Hi! Sent my first letter, asking for charge details going back 6 years, although I do have statements for the last 4. I addressed it to my own branch. Was this correct? It was sent 1st class on 8 March and I have still to receive a reply. Should I chase or just wait for the 40 days as my letter states? Thanks Loula

    Success Stories?

Hi! I am a new user too! I have not tried these tactics before, but very willing to give it a go. When I joined TSB all those years ago, I never had a problem, then just pre-merger I got into trouble (usual single parent problems to blame) and the young guy just wrote off all the charges but made me know that it was a one off favour. I have had loads of charges since and only once has the bank (since becoming LTSB) written off anything and only then because I was in such a state in their office and I think they were embarassed. I have just written the ' "Data Protection" What Money Have You Had From Me' letter. Anything is worth a try. I think they must have had at least £1000 from me in the last 6 years. Loula
