  1. MissHope, many thanks for your reply. My salary has been paid into my wife's bank account since I started with my current employer ( March 2011). Kind Regards @citizenB Very interesting link - thank you.
  2. Ah right, but how I wonder, I know there are no CCJ's, and my current and previous address were unknown to all, so how would it show any debt from the address where all the debt was registered ( 1997-2007). I never received ONE letter in the 5 years I was there!!! Thank you dx100uk, very helpful, and yes the voters roll, my only concern was being "found". @citizenB Many thanks for your time to reply I have been "off the radar" since Sept 2007. I have made sure that my name didn't go on ANYTHING, not even my email address. My salary has been paid into my wife account, mobile is in my wife's name, I just have our "savings" card and then funds are transferred back into it from the current account. I would like to know more about the mortgage shortfall, but I honestly couldn't even say who it was with!!!! @fkofilee Ok. thanks, will look into it.
  3. Thanks fkofilee, I did try this a while ago, however I think I may of messed it up as had letter from them saying I needed to call them as they couldn't verify identity etc etc, I think I applied using different address and it confused their system!!! I will apply for the £2 stat report using my current address + my previous 5 year address, but will this not be a true reflection as I was not registered at my previous address and I have not had ANY sort of credit since September 07? I would imagine it would come back completely blank!!!!!!! Just a thought, if potential lenders only search the last 5 years, and nothing is on my report, do I even have to go into my situation? I mean they can only know from a credit check, and wouldn't they get the same details as me, i.e nothing?
  4. Hi all. Hope everybody had a good Xmas. Over the last few months I have been thinking long and hard about my financial situation, and more so how to get out of the renting circle and back into owning my own home. The facts are: Old Life 40 year old (male) Divorced September 2007 Marital home repossessed 4/08 ( I left 10/07 - Ex left 12/07) Repossessed due to no communication between her & I **NO EQUITY IN PROPERTY** House sold leaving approx. £20k shortfall - No paperwork/court case as our new address not known. Various unsecured debts with no communication/payments since 09/07 ( Statue Barred ?) New Life Rented private since September 2010 Never registered on Voters Roll Moved to new rented property September 2015 No Bank account since September 2007 NO CCJ's registered on Trustonline - have searched ALL address over last 10 years. No mobile phone account in my name. Infact, nothing in my name, other than tenancy agreement So, I don't know if the lack of communication is from not registering for anything, but I would like to start moving forward and getting a bank account, going on the voters roll etc etc, however I am concerned about opening a can of worms and getting chased for these debts. Know I now there will be some divided opinions that I should make contact with all my creditors and start paying off my debts, but it is not something I want to do for reasons that I wont go into here. As stated initially, I would like to get back into the housing market - my wife and I earn in excess of £50k pa, and she has an A1 credit rating, however I earn the most. We could afford a mortgage no problem at all, and I believe I deserve a 2nd chance, the marital home was only repossessed due to both my ex & I being stupidly stubborn over offers that we received for the property and we were not talking, estate agents were the go between, and things just went pear shaped. Sorry for the long post, can anyone help with the best step forward without dragging up the past? I know I need a full credit report, but cannot do this until I get a bank account to prove my identity. Thanks all & Happy New Year.
  5. Hi everyone, Will be posting again soon regarding assistance on my situation in general, howver just incase any one is searching for an update on this, I can confirm I have received nothing further from Lowells. Regards
  6. Hi All, Hope I am not tempting fate here , but just an update to let you all know that since my last post I have not heard from Lowells at all. The CCJ for the debt is 6 years old on 16/4/14, so I am looking forward to that date!!
  7. True, I suppose they would of told the court in the application that my address was (dads). And again I am sure they would of mentioned the CCJ from the start (though I am surprised they haven't checked the registry). At the end of the day its been 2 months since the 1st letter from Lowells and they haven't mentioned the CCJ, neither have I had anything from the courts to my dads, also I am registered at my current address with HMRC Revenue, so I am sure the court could access that data for letter purposes. Thanks unclebulgaria, again ill keep you posted
  8. That's the thing, the CCJ was registered at my old marital home, not my fathers. If there is to be a hearing, I would never know about it unless I rang my local county court. I would never of seen the CCJ forms as I left the old marital home 3 months before CCJ granted and I could not imagine HFC requesting a hearing the same month the CCJ was registered?. If this is something to do with Lowells, would Lowells advise the court that my dads address is a "possible" to send any court papers too? Judgement obtained at a previous address, nothing registered to my dads whatsoever.
  9. Thanks for the reply - They told me it was transferred to my local court as soon as I gave them the reference number and before I could even give them any information, so I doubt they transferred it DUE to my call. They don't have my current address.
  10. My father has not received any mail for me from my local county court. When I rang NCC today, the first person said that it has been transferred to my local county court, and gave me the number. I wanted to ring, but didn't want to open a can of worms. I rang back to NCC and spoke with second person and I asked WHEN it was transferred to my local court and was advised "at the same time the CCJ was granted", so I assumed it was standard practice. But obviously when I read the above I wondered if the second person made an error and it HAS only just been transferred. I want to ring my local court, but obviously don't want to put my foot in it somehow, e.g my address is unknown, so technically I know NOTHING about all of this, other than my dad forwarding me letters.
  11. I have received a Notice of Transfer - what does this mean? Your case has been transferred to the local court for hearing. If you as the defendant are an individual, this will be your local court. If you are a business, then this will be the Claimant or Claimant solicitor's local court. If you need more information regarding the hearing then please contact the court the case has been transferred to. If judgment has already been entered against you, then the case may have been transferred to enforce the judgment. - Ahh, this is quite worrying. It seems that if my CCJ has been transferred to my local county court, then its for a hearing to enforce. Although Northampton Court told me today that it was transferred at the same time as the judgement ( 04/08 ). Should I contact my local county court tomorrow for more info, or is that playing with fire???
  12. OK, thanks, will keep you posted on their next letter - Thank you.
  13. P.S Really appreciate your help Unclebulgaria - Wish I could give you something back.
  14. Ah I see, I thought Lowells could apply to enforce it. The CCJ was granted Mid-April 2008, so you think 3 months isn't enough time for them to substitute? Bet they send me a bloody SD instead!!!!
  15. The 1st letter I have had from Lowells (ever) was November 2013 at my fathers home. Unless of course they were sending letters to my previous address ( left there April 2008 ) for the last 6 years which I doubt.
  16. Okay, spoke to the court today and the CCJ IS the same debt Lowell are chasing. After phoning Northampton Court, they told me it was transferred to my local county court. I panicked over this as though that it had only recently been transferred, but after speaking with Northampton a 2nd time they said it was transferred as soon as the judgement was granted. So Lowells have a CCJ for the debt they are chasing, and the 6 years to enforce it runs out in 70 days. I am still trying to work out a way to get a credit report without revealing my current address ( only been here 2 years and not on voters, no credit here under my name ), I have tried to use my wifes card to credit check my previous ( where all credit is registered ), but it wont let me use her card, and I cant do it by post as obviously it will be sent to the previous address!. Shall I wait and see if Lowells try to enforce the CCJ through the County Court? Thanks
  17. Sorry, when you say let them run, esp as I have had a discount offer - Do you meant you wouldn't do anything and just wait and see if the go legal?
  18. - Wont it be too late when I get a Statutory Demand or Enforcement of CCJ letter to do the whole letter template thing ( SB / SAR etc...)? Help very much appreciated, you don't know me from adam, but are helping, thank you.
  19. Ahh so SB doesnt happen until 6 years after the Default Notice? I just checked Trustonline - 1 CCJ for £3k in April 2008. I suppose I would have to contact Northampton Court on Monday to find out the claimant? It could be 1 of the current accounts, but just a "could". Also you say Lowells would of issued SD by now, but I have only been receiving letters from November 2013, surely they don't issue that quick anyway do they?? Thanks again, a great help!
  20. Thanks unclebulgaria. I have been steaming the letters and they are just asking me to contact them, I think one of them offering a reduction etc etc. They all get sent back after reading. I will look into Trustonline as would be good to know if I have any CCJs ( ref: SB ). Both debts are current accounts, how does that affect SB? / Letters I should send? Thanks again
  21. UPDATE - I wanted to get into 2014 to ensure that my debts should be SB now ( I know for a fact that I have not paid a penny to any creditor since 1/12/07), so technically they should all be SB ( unless of course they all have CCJ's attached to them, in which case none of them are/ever will be SB). Letters still flowing to my dads address from Lowells, and again I have just been marking them as return to sender/does not live here ( which is not a lie as I do not live there). Getting a bit worried now though because I read all over the internet that Lowells are very fond of making you bankrupt!!! I want to get my credit report, but I don't have a bank account and am petrified of putting my current address down anywhere ( not even on voters roll etc). I have a funny feeling that Lowells wont just go away. What should I do? I want to just write to Lowells with all the great letter templates on here, but on the other hand I don't. HELP!!!!
