  1. maybe they want us to work for our money:D
  2. i went to hsbc a few years ago to get a loan to clear my o/d and buy doublew glazing, all they were prepared to offer was a managed loan and take our cards off us etc, told em where to go straight away, they seemed to just want to get as much out of me as they could in the end got the loan from my mortage same loan period and only about 5% not 14% as hsbc wanted [edit] :o [MODERATED: Please do not post libelous comments on this site]
  3. i'll claim it back when i send my break down of charges. i'm quite enjoying taking the banks on a bit of payback after the all screwd me over.
  4. i already have a claim going with hsbc over my current account sent off my lba last week. i sent of my dpa for my credit card on the 28th and have heard nothing back yet how ever they banked my cheque:eek: was a bit supprised as most people seem to get there cheque back, has this happend to any one else

  6. got a response from katherine blunt today which is funny as according to royal mail my item hasn't been delivered yet??????? any way its a standard one saying she'll forward it to me once she has recived the information
  7. no bother mate thats what were all here for one for all and all for one and all that bollox
  8. from what i've read and my own experiance you'll proberly not get a response to your first letter they must be getting loads of these now, but they usually respond to your lba proberly with a part offer, which you could take that offer, if you don't right back and say you don't except the offer they might write back again but by that time the 14 days are proberly up from when you sent your lba so file your claim on line then they'll be liable for the 8% intrest and will proberly settle out of court for the full amount including costs intrest.
  9. i'd take the bit out about failing to respond to your letter and maybe mention something bout them stalling
  10. i wouldn't bother claiming the intrest as its very difficult to work out and more than covers there costs i'd send it to the person who wrote to you now you have a named contact this is what i sent [deleted] [MODERATED: Letter templates are available to registered users only]
  11. its just a stalling tactic by them, i'd send of the breakdown as requested including pending charges, and stick to your time table so send your lba on monday including the pending charges in your total
  12. when you include it don't print off the bit about the 8% intrest as that gets added when you file a claim. with regard to how you have listed your charges, just write them down as they are on your statement. hope all goes well i sent of my lba on the 5th so were kinda on the same time line
  13. shame there such a shooking company they offer good pay http://http://www.jobsincredit.com/credit-job/Sales_Executive/28421
  14. you can claim for them both however to stay in the small claim's court the max is £5000 i'd recomed breaking down your case in to two say 3 years each one, but wait for the first one to be settled b4 your start the second as they can get the court to lump them both together.
  15. hello mate and welcome, make sure you read the faq'shttp://http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/ and the templates for letters are here thehttp://http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library you can't add the intrest unless it goes to court any more questions just ask
  16. Got a standard letter from katrina downs saying sorry to learn of my dissatisfaction and they will resolve the matter by 28/7/6, i love the personal touch in my letter it has my name on it:wink: any who lets see what happens now then

  22. am just preparing my lba and am wondering if anyone else has added this bit Furthermore, I shall submit a Consumer Credit Act 1974 complaint to the OFT upon the basis that you have failed to comply with the OFT's direction of 5 April 2006 and are therefore not a 'fit and proper person' to hold a consumer credit licence under the 1974 Act. If you do not understand what this means then seek advice from your legal department
  23. I'm just wondering bout sending my lba with a 7 day deadline seens as it looks like my first letter has been ignored what do you guys think or has any one else given a 7 day deadline? cheers james
  24. not sure hsbc only recently changed the telephone banking to do this
  25. ok so i know the call centres arn't much use however if you wanna get through to one in the uk, when you press eight on the telephone banking, its gives you 2 options 1= to speak to some one bout your account or 2= to make a complaint if you press 2 as if by magic your talking to some on in the uk who can deal with any request about your account payments etc.... and even to check they are reciving you letters hope this helps james
