  1. Hi no i didnt query it at the time as my tax credit notice said i was being paid it, but when i rang them about another matter they discovered i wasnt being paid it due to someone their end messing my claim up, so there was noway i could have known until my local housing office discovered my tax credits was to low.
  2. Hi again im hoping someone here my no the answer to this question, tax credits have said when i first started claiming tax credits in 2010 they where paying me the disability premium for my my son but for some reason in 2011 someone their end removed the serve disability premium. They have taken full responsibility for this mistake but have only back dated the arrears for 31 day and if i want the 2 years worth i have been underpaid i have to put an appeal in, is this normal and correct? as i dont understand why i have to put an appeal in for their mistake im well confused. Thanks Tony
  3. Hi antone you were spot on i rang child tax credits and i havent been overpaid i have in fact been underpaid over the last 4 years off around £6000 . They are looking at my claim for back pay and will be informing me within 6 weeks off their decision, as its their fault due to not paying the right disability premium for my son. Every year i put on my claim my son is receiving DLA high rate for care but they put him down as low rate, i think what they did was mix his mobility low rate with his high care rate. Do you think they will pay back what they owe me or are the rules on their side and they will get away with it, i really would appreciate any thoughts on this situation, Many Thanks Tony
  4. Thankyou antone i will ask them, i did say to them where did the over payment come from and was told from me not telling them about my income which is rubbish as i have to renew my tax credits every year and my income has never changed apart from a little extra money every April on my carers allowance which they would no about as i renew my tax credits every June.
  5. sorry i meant can i ask what a re-evaluation means?
  6. Can what a re-evaluation mean? renegadeimp
  7. Hi, i applied for housing benefit and was told i was living £41 under the limit that the law says i need to live on and i should apply for income support as im a carer. I went to CAB who told me tax credits were not paying me what i was due, so i rang them today and was told i was overpaid and they were taking it back bit by bit every week from my tax credits. I had no idea i was overpaid, i had no letter or phone call informing me off the situation so it came as a shock to be told this today, what i want to know is are they allowed to make me struggle like this by making me live on less than the law says i have too live on?. Any advice would be so much appreciated, Tony
