Aa home emergency response - have a laugh!!
dementia replied to ihateyes's topic in Utilities - Gas, Electricity, Water
I'd like to add to tirade of negative reviews. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR BUSINESS. and here is why... 1. They set up the policy as a loan, not an insurance policy so you cannot cancel it without owing them the balance. They do state this in the small print of their renewal letter however but if you have to move home within the next 12 months then you will have the pay for a policy that you do not need. 2. They claim to service your boiler yearly however it is you who has to arrange for this. This is as opposed to them calling you to arrange for this. All other companies I've used (including the devils British Gas) do this so you don't need to think about it. 3. I would confirm their policy on second visits even if they are the ones who are at fault for the second visit (no parts, problem not actually fixed, etc). Give your money to someone else. I wish I had done a bit more research beforehand but I thought, "its the AA, not some fly by night one man band". Big company, small minds and utterly dishonest. I too will be switching my vehicle breakdown cover to someone else.
