1. are you resident in Scotland? your best to talk to croc doc, and get your individual case discussed as different factors are for each person. sorry for delay in reply new arrival to family...........my husband was being pursued by PE for parking charge as registered keeper but was not the driver at the alleged time of incident, we waited it out till the claim form arrived from Northampton bulk claim centre (CCBC), told them we resided in Scotland and form passed to a judge, we still returned claim form disputing claim and defending case and told them that PE had left off our full address and the fact we reside in Scotland, also that PE had told us we would be paying for X charges and court fees on a previous letter and courts do not approve of companies sending letters saying this and as they changed the amount so frequently on letters the court dismissed case in our favour, we had to wait until after the date which was our cut off date to hear. the advisers on here are very good and offer sound advice thanks again croc doc and citizen b for all your help hope other people benefit from this site as much as I have .
2. just spoke to CCBC again and got a very good customer adviser they have referred claim to judge as correctly pointed out they have no idea where we are as address that is on claim form did not have Scotland on it, therefore that has now been corrected and I await a letter from formal judge???? have been advised to still complete form and return expressing keeper resides in Scotland and case forwarded to judge. will keep you updated.
3. here's the front page hope it's clear enough for you croc doc. earlier document converted to pdf format
4. hi dx I have just scanned and removed in paint the personal info but left car park details is that ok or should they come out too I have removed some of the bar code parts but not in full, just so codes can be compared to see if they are duplicated? is there anything little I may have missed on form??
5. holy moly I will have a go might take me all day! thanks for destructions.
6. that's pretty speedy work croc-doc, thank you for advice. I do however have no idea how to scan up docs is there any way to private message or e-mail the docs as that I might be able to manage? I called the number for CCBC Northampton and had a very rude lady called Jill speak to me and I told her the defendant lived in Scotland she discussed claim with me (no confidentiality as I'm not the registered keeper he is currently away serving HM Forces) and I'm heavily pregnant and she referred to it at as parking fine I corrected her saying parking charge notice and she said she didn't see what the fine had to do with being pregnant , I expressed it's undue stress I could do with out!
7. hi cookie rocks, I'm in the similar predicament as yourself, I have spoken to a person who works for one of these companies as a car park attendant and gives out the notices in the first place and they believe that the claim form is a last tactic in getting you to pay up, as people are very worried about going to court. They cannot issue a CCJ as it is not a fine from the police or a county council? I spoke to Northampton CCBC and the woman was rude to me also discussed the claim which is not in my name as I'm not the registered keeper? no confidentiality there and after I had just listened to the automated voice saying they do not accept rude, abusive behaviour on the phone and she called it a parking fine, I corrected her and said parking charge notice and she asked if someone else was driving? I'm seeking more advice tomorrow and will be taking my documents to the local court to find out if its real as it all seems to have CPC at the bottom? fake Britain just did a huge thing on these companies and I'm not willing to pay them a random and ever changing obscene amount of money for using shops attached to a cark park provided at retail centres. and so on.......
8. Thank you citizen B for your link I had missed this one, I have a friend who works for one of these private companies and they said that they will resort to anything to get you to pay and by filling in or contacting your giving them reason to pursue, as its a parking charge not a fine (only council and police can fine) it would not be upheld in court?? and I've read your info but as I live in Scotland and laws are different would this make a difference?? the form that appears to be the same one everyone gets doesn't have a proper stamp on it just a printed off the computer version and why would they require information such as date of birth etc?? I'm sure you have lots of these and thank you for your patience.
9. hi I'm new to this forum, just trying to get a grip on this company etc. as have had all the letters and ignored and now have the county court claim form from Northampton county court Bulk centre has arrived! the costs have changed over the past 6 months of letters from the first, then going up with the debt recovery and back down to original after and now up again with court fees and solicitors fees on this court claim form, the registered keeper was out of area with HM servicing forces, but the incident was in England and keeper resides in Scotland???? do we continue to ignore until court summons arrives or do we respond to this letter? any advice greatly appreciated. P.s my letter dated 8th July and also issued by the company as CookieRocks has scanned letter it could be mine as the same.?
