  1. Hello, I am a 18 year old girl, and I have been caught shoplifting at Boots yesterday. Also, they told me that they saw me the week before which is true, but I did it only twice. Police have been called, but they decided not to arrest me. They only took my name and address. I did not have to sign for anything and they told me that I will receive a letter from rlp to pay for something. I have been reading a lot of forums since then, and a lot of them said that we should ignore rlp letter even if they are telling us that we are going to be taken to the Court. Also, moving to uni this summer, and going on holidays in three days, I told them to send the letter at the place where I would be staying in holiday because I don't have my uni address. they have my current address, and the one from where I am going on holiday. I am worrying if I don't see the letter in time. Also, being a student I can't afford paying that much money so I am considering to not pay the fines. Is that a good idea? what should I do? can I be in serious troubles if I don't answer them back/pay? Thank you so much for reading me mlg
