  1. I have spoken to someone from legal aid and they have taken my documentation to copy and ring them, so hopefully will be sorted when I am hopefully granted legal aid
  2. It was sent in a letter from Tax credits that if not payment was recieved they would cancel all current payments blondebubbles
  3. Thank you for that It also says on page 16 that they cant reduce my current new payments to pay for the one with my ex...they told me they can stop my payments and this is why I was worried that my daughter would have to leave her nursery
  4. Thank you both Yes I did inform them and they have recalculated for myself and my daughter. According to the letter from the tax credits he contacted them and said he made a mistake and they have apparently taken his word for this (there can't be any evidence because it did not happen). Victims support say this is happening more and more with abusive relationships but this does not help me. He is filing for bankruptcy apparently so any payments he would have to make will just be taken into account for that but he will force me to go into bankruptcy and yet I came out of the relationship with nothing but the furniture I paid for and debts for council tax because they also say I have to pay the whole bill as it was in joint names and he refuses to pay. Stuck on where to go now for help as cant afford a solicitor.
  5. I have left my partner this year and we filed correct tax credit forms, he was only allowed to bring £1200 in per month because of arrears in CSA to children from his previous relationships. I have a 2 year old daughter who relies on these credits for her nursery fees and I have just recieved a letter saying that he had contacted them and said instead of the £33,000 he earned he actually earned an extra £20,000 on doing home jobs. This is totally untrue but the Tax Credits office are now saying that due to this new information I have to pay £6,000 back and they will stop my credits now meaning my daughter will no longer be able to attend nursery and I will not be able to work the hours I do. Without any evidence which he cant produce as it is not true can the tax credits office just demand this. He is currently being prosecuted for harrassment and this is another way he is destroying my daughter and my life. Where do I stand Please please help as I am on the verge of bankruptcy
  6. Thank you all No, I am not pursuing a claim (i was never really very sure of it) although i am interested in knowing how they arrived at their figures based on the fact they asked me for copies of all figures and the dates and they are vastly different. Thank you for the advice
  7. yes am getting confused I have the second letter they sent saying what they would pay me for 7 weeks £756 It was miss-sold because I told them I did not need it, had insurance and paid for illness, redundancy and death with my company This was the last 12 weeks of the loan and I claimed as it was there I would have accepted that I had claimed and there no recompense except for the fact this company has lied as well as forcing me to take this PPI in the first place!! all I was asking for was advice on how to word a letter to request the proof they have paid the PPI of more than half of the payments for the 60 month loan (which is a lie)
  8. Hi all Here I go again, needing advice of my forum friends regarding ppi I had a loan with alliance and leicester in 1996 and claimed what I remember being 3 months in 2001 coming to the end of the loan. On requesting mis selling to santanda I declared about the ppi claim and they wrote back 4 weeks asking did I have any further information for them. I sent a copy of the final claim I made as the loan was finishing along with a copy of the FOS questionairre ..again!! Santanda has replied 2 weeks later saying that I paid £1634.16 in premiums and claimed £6828.68 in claims I know this is untrue but dont have the first claim letter just the last which shows they paid £108 for each week of 7 weeks (this works out at £5616 only if they paid me for the full 12 months) I believe that I claimed 12 weeks at £1296 Does anyone have any advice on how I can word a letter to ask for proof of these claims because I know I only had 12 weeks claim due to sickness please please help Thank You
  9. I have had a response back from Egg and an offer for £6000 made...with the help of the site I think this is reasonable. I appreciate all the help and advice that can be found on the site from everyone. Will wait now for Lloyd s and Alliance and Leicester claims to answer now Lloyd s have already tried to deny I had PPI on 2 of my accounts despite them already confirming that I did have it and having paperwork Thank you
  10. Thank you will try to get my head around it again
  11. Help required as I am so confused!!! Took out a loan in November 2001 with Egg for £15000 and started 60 monthly payments on 12th December of £380.30 (due to moving house) I had been employed with an NHS trust since 1987 and received 12 months benefits package but was made to take PPI as they said I could not have the loan without it. Little extra cash on moving and paid off £14000 to loan on 15th February 2002 which egg recalculated and continued the £380.30 monthly payments but bought the completion date forward to January 2003 instead of 2006. Restructured this loan to pay off remaining balance of £807.57 on 15th March 2002 for a 12 month period So basically this loan was paid off in 16 months all told. I had paid the full amount of PPI which they never cancelled or gave me a rebate. I have put a claim into egg on 23rd May but even then did not understand what I needed to do properly. Please please help... What should I be claiming? Do I likely have a case? how do I work any amount I am owed with the length of time and restructuring. Thank you guys in anticipation of some help
