  1. My wife has recently been given her notice period letter for redundancy from her job along with 15 other members of staff. She has been given a 4 week notice period and is required to attend work as normal and complete her usual duties. Once the 4 weeks are up her employment will be terminated and redundancy package paid. My question is what is her date of redundancy? Is it the day notice was given or the final day of employment which will be 4 weeks later after she has worked the notice period. This is a very important question to us as it will determine whether she receives statutory maternity pay or not. Thank you for any help offered.
