  1. I too have recieved a letter from collectiva asking for an £80 fine for late licensing penalty, but the brilliant thing is, it is dated from May 1 2012 and it is for a vehicle I sold over 2 years ago!! How the hell am I supposed to have control over that?? Apparantly, they may even clamp the vehicle..go ahead DVLA the offence was in Doncaster and I have never even been there. I am going to enjoy what the response will be on this..and no I haven't kept the vehicle is no longer yours confirmation. I have also moved house to where the vehicle was originally registered, so I have no idea how they associate the vehicle to my new address.. DVLA must have surely / still have the current vehicle records and where is the history for the past two years and who has been looking after it? I followed my obligations and posted the v5 but clearly a mistake has been made, and it is me that they are trying to recover money from. I wonder if I can invoice DVLA for time spent and stress caused ;-)
