  1. Hello again caro,

I phoned the Dentist today and its like for like, I should have done that first and then it would have saved all the upset. all the best to you all. pin62.

  2. Hello caro, Thank you for asking and no i haven't got the answers to the questions. We have been on benefits for sometime now due to ill health, my wife had to give up her job to care for me. We had always paid our way. I realise now that if I had asked the Dentist instead of here I would not have caused any ill feelings which I had already apologised for. I had looked at the answers of getting free dental treatment but what I was asking the answer wasn't there. I will phone the Dentist this morning and ask him. Thanks again pin62.

  3. Sorry that I have upset you, but I asked a couple of questions and it seemed that the replies were a bit abrupt, I also said that if I was wrong then I'm very sorry. I have used this site in the past and had very good help from it. I also have made donations too. If you look up any of my topics you will see that I have always been very greatfull of the advice given.pin62.

  4. BazzaS, I should have said that my wife and I receive other benefits that entitle us to free Dental treatment and that I'm on Disability benefits also. pin62.

  5. Can anyone help me please,

i was at the Dentist the other day for my check up.

i had to have a tooth ground has it was very sharp and was cutting my tongue

also the Dentist told me that my crown was in need of replacing has it had gone thin,

I have had this Gold crown for over 10 years.

I get free Dental work due to Disability benefits and wondered if they would replace my gold crown with another gold crown or not.

when i first had it done I was working and paid I think over £200 for it.

The tooth that I had to have ground down has a filling in it that has made the tooth look black

and its on the side 2 teeth from the front.

the Dentist said he could change the filling to a white one for £70,

or should this be free also.T

hank you for any info. pin62

  6. Thank you for getting back to me, I have given up on the computer apart from the blue screening it also comes up windows error recovery.and launch startup repair and start windows normally, If I click on either of them it just flicks back to the same page asking the same question. thought about putting it on Ebay to see if anyone would be interested in a faulty all in one maybe someone who is computer minded. Both companies charged me £90 for hard drive and install. I wish I had never seen a computer.

  7. Hello stig, I too was in your position, I got a phone call telling me I had been put in the support group and a letter would follow. That was on the 28th October I finally got my letter on the 23rd of January, I spoke to 14 different people who all promised they would send me the letter ,In the end I told them That I wanted the ESA benefit decider to phone me back and if they didn't then I was going to make a complaint and that I would go to my nearest Jobcenterplus to make the complaint this seemed to work I got my phone call and the next week got my letter, I'm still waiting for the P45. Hope this helps and good luck. If it hadn't been that the people on here giving their advice and best wishes I don't know what I would have done. pin62

  8. Hello labrat,

First I would like to thank you for taking time to try and help me.

I would also say that I'm not clued up with computers so please excuse me if I don't understand things straight away

.I looked at the computer and found that I had plugged in my printer

but when I looked at devices noted that it wasn't showing

so put the install disc in and straight away it bluescreened,

I waited till i could turn on the computer and it didn't say operating system not found

and then started to install the printer

it got so far then bluscreened again,

could it be that this is a cause?

The computer was switched on this morning and was fine for about 2 hours before it bluescreened

I waited then switched it on this time was on about 4 hours before it bluescreened.

Last night it bluescreened 4 times within 1 hour

    Its driving me crazy.

good job I have a laptop to fall back to.

    Thanks again pin 62

  9. Hello porkyp1g,

The first time the hard drive was changed was in May and it stopped the bluescreening until

it went again in November so

took it back and they replaced the harddrive but

it only lasted 3days before it started to bluescreen again.

I took it back and they had it all over Christmas but still couldn't find the problem

but did mention that he thought it could be the motherboard.

I told them I wasn't going to buy a new motherboard only to find out that wasn't the problem

    and returned home with it,

I was then told about this other company who was very good and to give them a chance to repair it.

They put in a new harddrive but that only lasted a couple of days and then it started to bluescreen again.

I had already paid out with both companies £180 so gave it up

and was going to chuck the computer in the skip.

It was only when I came on here that I wondered if I could have a chance of getting somewhere

with the not fit for purpose law and

dx got back to me telling me of the sale of goods act which I'm very grateful for so will try that route.

I have been intouch with PC World and they said they would get back to me.

  10. Hello renegadeimp,

They have done a fresh install of the operating system

we had to install other stuff that we use,

also the security software had to be installed again.

I have spent hours searching for a solution also but found nothing.

Some have said it looks like a motherboard fault

a second hand one on ebay was £125,

I won't spend another penny on this computer.

In the last 8 months the computer has been in 2 repair shops and it still isn't working properly.

    Thanks for your reply.

  11. I purchased a HP Pavilion All in One computer pc in Feb. 2010.

Since May last year I have been unable to use it properly as it keeps blue-screening.

I have taken it in for repair to 2 different companies one in May 2013

and the other in Nov. 2013 who have both replaced the hard-drive at a total cost of £180 .

It still keeps blue screening and

I was told by both companies to go back to PC World and state that my machine is not fit for purpose.

I was also informed by the last company that he would be willing to give me an engineers report letter

and that the machine should be in working order for 5 yrs. at least.

    Can anyone advise me please,

    pin62.

  12. Hello I had someone phone me back today, my wife took the call and explained to the young man what I was after he said he would get a letter sent about the support group and gave us his name and what office he was speaking from, If I don't receive the letter I have a telephone number for my local job centre to make an appointment to be seen, also will do like people have advised and send recorded delivery letters to them. Thanks Margaret for the best wishes. pin 62
