  1. Yes mate it is......I have now asked the Halifax to furnish me with statements to show how this ammount is already on the account.
  2. I've sent off the SAR, and I got back about 60 pages with every transaction. The funny thing that I've only just noticed is that it was a new Visa account which I opened in August of 2002, and the opening balance on the card is 3114.83 I'll have to make a call about that.
  3. Todge, thanks for that mate. I'm in the process now of highlighting all the charges that I can claim back. Then it's on to the spreadsheet. One other question with which you may be able to help me with. I have noticed through a brief view of the statements that for a few months payments never went into the account, then they would take all the money in one go, then all would be OK for a few months, then the same again, in on month alone they took 1500 from my current account.
  4. After recieving my last six years of statements from Halifax Visa, on the accompanying letter there is a paragraph that reads: If you requested information relating to manual intervention on your account, I regret HBOS plc is under no statutory obligation to record this information and therefore, I am unable to assist further with your request. I know for sure that over a period of several months the Halifax have raided my account without my consent to take payments towards the outstanding balance on my Visa card. What should I do about this? How can I prove it? Thanks in advance for any replies. Craig.
