Pick up the phone and find out exactly whats gone on, if your not getting answer from customer service ask to speak to a supervisor.

I used to work for the highways department for my local council about 7 years ago and trust me they waste there money on others things I'd rather not pay for. For example, the signage department had 40K of their budget left at the end of the year, so they blew it on loads of things that didnt need doing just so there budget would be kept the same the following year. Folking out for someones damage costs that they caused (granted it was a bit of chain reaction) would only skim the surface. -

Good point guys, just send a tiny sample, recorded delivery to coca cola. Paying to have it analysed privatly could be expensive and results could come back inconclusive especially if the local environmental health authority had no such luck. -

It only makes sense to except the cost of total damage surely? Otherwise it looks as if your taking some responsibility for the accident yourself, which wasn't your fault. You pay council tax,road tax, your entitled to a decent standard of road to drive on, plus it might pull there fingers out a bit more. -

This is absolutely horrible, preying on the elderly. Just let everybody know. Maybe posters, contact the police, get the local media involved, word can spread fast online aswell. -
Isnt the extra ten pounds just the money she donated, or were there two payments taken, they usually take the donation from your bill, or did she donate by card over the phone?

My first piece of advice would be to get her to a doctor, they are helpful medically and can offer financial options aswell sometime. Its hard to know what shes entitled to without a doctors opinion.

Caught drink driving while banned-for drink driving!

People who drink drive always receive a ban not a fine. A solicitor friend of mine was pulled for drink driving and even him with all his law knowledge got banned for a year. If hes been banned already a prison sentence is could be likely. Bless your mum -
