  1. I was going to pay off the bill over a few months so then it would become satisfied. However is it true that if I made contact with them the 6 years on credit file would begin from when the account is satisfied? It was the Court I was going to make contact with Northampton.
  2. I haven't received a letter regarding it for some time although have moved addresses a few times. It was originally for a £100.00 phone from Littlewoods which although in my name it was my mum who took it out. I don't know what to do for the best as its affecting my credit but understand that if it is left for 6 years (another 1.5 yrs) it would come off but if i make contact the 6 years will begin again.
  3. I have a CCJ from 2009 for £379.00 looking for some advice whether or not to leave it for the further 1.5 years too fall of my credit or whether to pay the bill and have it done as satisfied. I'm worried that if I make contact with the agency then the 6 years will start again. I'm saving up for a mortgage and don't know what is best to do. Any help greatly appreciated!
  4. It was a cash loan. Because I don't live at the address I don't know when she is paying and when she's not making it harder, I don't want to give my address incase they start harassing me!
  5. Have contacted Greenwood's who stated to take out a loan proof of address is required. I took a loan out for my parents at their address and was not asked and didn't provide proof of address as I have never lived at their address. Could somebody point me in the direction to begin process of having name of debt changed or removed as clearly they have not kept to their own `rules` or am I still stuck with this debt despite this error as I did sign the paperwork?
  6. Hi, Hope someone can help me! I took out a loan last year from Greenwood's for my mum at her address (which I have never lived at!) The agent was aware the loan was not for me but still allowed it to be processed despite my mum getting 1 at the same time. I recently received a letter from a debt company stating I owed £700. I contacted them saying I had never lived at the address stated on the letter and so they passed the debt back to Greenwoods (it was only after I clicked on which bill it would be!) I contacted Greenwoods to see if there was anything to do regarding the debt as although I had signed the agreement it was my mum's bill, they said because I had signed they couldn't do anything. I have never lived at the address the loan was taken out at so therefore had no ID/bills etc with that address on, I am now wondering if that could be used in my defense. Do you not need proof of residency to take out a loan? I am aware they are legalised shark loans and angry at my mum for letting this get this far, i'm trying to work up my credit rating to get a mortgage and this won't help! Please Help!!
