  1. UCA are also called united creditors alliance and are both trading names of NCO europe or were on the CCL that was surrendered in July 2013. They do not appear on the new one however. I have seen a few comments on the internet saying they are part of American Express.
  2. I looked on the oft register and they are all the same company however in july last year the ccl was surrendered and the new one doesn't include UCA. If UCA do write to me I will ask them for their ccl number
  3. UCA a company in preston with the same postcode as rma resolve.
  4. Thanks again dx100uk but this isn't what I was asking. I think I can deal with them but I am trying to find out if amex rma and uca are linked in any way so I could report them for being deceptive. I think I need to send a request for the agreement to them. From reading about the default notice is not correct as it just states an amount to pay and 14 days from the date of this letter. It doesnt say how much over my credit limit I was .
  5. Thank you dx100uk. I was wondering if amex rma uca and nco were all interconnected as the communication has been confusing. The card was taken out in 2005 and defaulted in 2011. The balance on the card is £3000 and I have been making payments as and when I can which is why I think it gets passed around.
  6. On my credit file it is american express. At first Amex told me it was being collected by RMA but then UCA wrote to me. When I replied I got an answer from NCO europe. It went quiet for a while when Amex wrote to say moorcroft would collect it. I wrote to moorcroft asking for proof of the debt and money owed . Now amex have written back saying that it has been with rma and moorcroft but would now be going to uca. I can only assume moorcroft got spooked and returned it. It was a nectar credit card
  7. I would have thought it was the landlords insurance and responsibility to rehouse you. Check your contract.
  8. I believe they do. What I did was when I got a letter it should say who the client is so then send a prove it letter and if appropriate a cca request. Do you still have the letters? If possible try to organise them into some sort of order, I know its hard when they pass the debts round and hide behind different names. Have you moved over the last few years,?
  9. Please help me on this . Are these all the same people. I had letters from rma then uca. When I wrote back I got a reply from nco europe. My debt went to moorcroft and has now been passed back to uca. Uca and rma seem to have a very similar address. I need help understanding who is who.
  10. Thats what I mean. To some any money borrowed is lawfully owed and you should pay it regardless. Even the oft say sb debts and unenforceable ones still exist. If I get a parking ticket for parking on a yellow line no one complains when I query the lack of signage
  11. It was just an opinion. Borrow money then even with the ability to pay offer a reduced settlement.
  12. Most cards that are paid off on a full n final have already defaulted and are being chased. If theses are live accounts this must surely be debt avoidance.
  13. It is such a difficult subject but should it be? On th motoring forums people are encouraged to look for loopholes to avoid parking or traffic contravention penalties. Equally with RLP. As soon as its a financial thing some people do not expect the multi millionpound institutions to adhere to the law but for us ordinary people to just pay up no questions asked.
  14. I do not think anyone can condone debt avoidance I.e the deliberate fraudulant taking of money with no intention of ever paying it back. E.g old Basil Rankine who is or was at HMP. However if the banks and institutions do not comply with the law do they deserve to get the money back? Then we have charges which at best are unfair and depending on who you listen to almost or totally impossible to reclaim. Then there is the fobbing off sevice The odds are stacked against mr or mrs average . It is better for 10 criminals to walk free than one innocent person be convicted but in the world of civil debt it seems the courts and system want to reverse the burden of proof and accept any conduct on the part of the industry
  15. The way you keep going amazes me. I think I would have caved by now or called them and had a hissy fit. An inspiration
  16. You can only send cca requests for credit cards and loans not overdrafts. Somewhere there is a letter you can send for overdraft.
  17. I would not be sending a SB letter at the moment. A couple of options. Wait until you are contacted and then send off a cca request to validats that they can enforce. send off a cca request now. personally I would wait. Did you put all your old addresses in to see if they have any ccjs.
  18. Are we talking east or west cheshire Seriously though as this was 76 and the LA was 1980 and the cca has been revised countless times would that still be relevant. Dodge it is raining here now so you were just a bit off
  19. Is this really any different to the other debts being managed by Link. No one knows what if anything that is different will happen and I think someone is just looking for a headline. It reads more like a daily mail article than an Indi one.
  20. Sounds to me like an investigation meeting and there are no legal rights for representation. If they found nothing then why would they be able to put this on a reference.
  21. It is illegal to dismiss someone for being a member of a union. Equally I would check your companies disciplinary policy as I think it is also illegal to refuse union representation if you are a. member
  22. There is no chance of getting them to pay for your time just as you are not paying for there time. Have you sent a cca request? When was the card taken out?
  23. Contrary to what you have been told on another site these so called defences are an absolute disaster . If you have a defence it will be due to flaws in the agreement or default. Somethingto do with cca1974
  24. I think tesco credit cards are actually RBS and it seems a common tactic from them to demand a signature. My opinionis that so long as you tell them it is wrong and why you would be covered. When were GPB struck off, I had read they had been suspended pending investigation.
