  1. Thanks very much, I shall find £2 and get it sorted! Well the halifax debt is all just my overdraft but over the years I'm pretty certain that I would only go over the limit or close to it due to a build of of the charges, if that makes sense. I am going down the route of the financial ombudsman, after I get through all these pages of transactions and charges I received from the data controller. Would complaining to the BCOBS also aid me when I go this route? I have literally been trying to do everything to get out of this debt, I have cut so much spending but with all the charges I incur, it is nearly impossible for me to reduce it at the moment. Since going on DMP my OD has not reduced and has actually increased due to the monthly charges for being in my overdraft, which is what led to me being charged for going over the limit.
  2. Thank you for the advice. He will call me back on Saturday to rearrange but I shall tell him I will not be talking to him or seeing him then. Well the debt that he is calling about is just for the fees that were incurred for going over my arranged overdraft. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't batter an eyelid about it but I contacted StepChange and have been making payments for the past 5 months, this overdraft was part of my DMP with StepChange. So Halifax know that I am on a DMP and have continued to charge fees, which put me over their limit. I have actually just received a stack of papers from Halifax Data controller after requesting all the information held on me by Halifax. I don't even know where to start! I also just received a PPI questionairre from MBNA which I did not request but think this is due to the fact that they were part of my DMP. I tried to check my CRA file but unfortunately the only card I have left is my Maestro card from Danske Bank and it doesn't seem to be working for any of the sites. The halifax card which I have the OD with doesn't work either with them and all my credit cards that I am currently paying off are long gone.
  3. Hi guys, I need advice. I got a letter from nciuk.com and they called to my house the other day. I told them I didn't have time to talk to them but they called last night and I arranged a meeting tomorrow. Have I done the right thing or should I cancel? I literally have no idea about these people. He keeps telling me he cannot discuss the details of the account and that they are just a 3rd party hired by banks to do a report about why my debt hasn't been paid rather than there to collect the debt. When I asked if it was to discuss payment options for paying it back he again said no, he could not discuss this and was only there to feedback to the bank as to why I had missed payments. Thanks in advance!
