  1. Remember that if they operate ANPR cameras that has to be registered with the ICO, CCTV and ANPR cameras are classed as different and parking enforcement is not crime prevention and detection, we need someone to make a complaint to the ICO for breach of the DPA wouldn't you like a parking company to get a monetary penalty notice? "Monetary penalty notices - fines of up to £500,000 for serious breaches of the DPA"
  2. Their DPA registration seams a bit woolly - "INCLUDES USE OF CLOSED-CIRCUIT TELEVISION FOR THE MONITORING AND COLLECTION OF SOUND AND/OR VISUAL IMAGES FOR THE PURPOSE OF MAINTAINING THE SECURITY OF PREMISES, FOR PREVENTING CRIME AND INVESTIGATING CRIME." There is NO mention of ANPR in their registration and the ICO clearly classes them as different technologies referring to them as "CCTV and ANPR systems" not "CCTV/ANPR systems" Hope this is of some help...
  3. Just came across this and thought I'd read what you posted unlike some of the replies you have had You "road" is not a public "highway" and such is not a road under the RTA88 it's legally just land that has tarmac on. 34 "if without lawful authority" 1(a) would apply and they would be liable to prosecution. If they park in the gateway belonging to the airport they have still committed an offence if you want to confront them call the police telling them that you believe there is likely to be a breach of the peace when you tell the sado's to "do one", this will require their attendance, the other thing to do is air you concerns with your local policing team and ask their advice. You can also put up signage "Authorised vehicles only" white on red both sides of the "road" with a modifier board stating section 41.1 of the Road Traffic Act.
