When we realised how much they had taken out of my account she became quite protective. It’s been worth going through the whole thing just to experience my bank looking after me. Gosh, I really don’t remember but think it was 3 penalty points & £100. I’ve just googled & that is what came up too so I’m guessing that’s what it was.

Thank you guys I really appreciate the advice. It hasn’t landed in my bank yet but she said if it doesn’t get in by 5pm today it will be 5pm tomorrow. The refund needed to be submitted by 4pm today & it was just 4pm. I will the rest of your advise for any possible come back. Assuming it all goes smoothly regarding the refund. I’m afraid I don’t know as it was so long ago. It was someone on reception & I spoke to them in person which means I probably have nothing accept they would see I haven’t been in the building for over 7 months because I haven’t used the card.

I meant an account where all my direct debits go out of sorry I thought it was called a holding account. The health club is called Holmer Park in Hereford. They said they will cancel my membership now. But I’ve given them a lot of money because of following advice I believed at the time to be trusted.

Hi, I probably don't have a leg to stand on here but thought I would ask , just in case. I've been a member of a private health club and decided to cancel my membership over 7 months ago now. When I asked at reception how to go about cancelling she said she would do that for me. My direct debits are all in a holding account that I didn't check because I assumed (incorrectly) that everything had been taken care of. My life has been somewhat preoccupied looking after my elderly uncle who has dementia, so when I went to set up a new direct debit for something else I was upset to find I was still paying the membership. The membership relies on a card that you scan in and out of the building so I do have evidence that I have not been there. When I spoke to management they said that their policy is to send an emailand a months notice. That wasn't't what I was told at the time. I don't suppose it makes any difference but thought I would ask just in case. Thank you.

Hi, can anyone help? My dear uncle was diagnosed with vascular dementia April 2022. Since then he has been needing care and is reliant on carers coming in morning, afternoon and evening to help him. He has a basic pension, attendance allowance and housing benefit pays for half of his rent. Because of his low income a social worker has allocated how much time he is allowed to receive. I have written to social services that the time allotted for his care needs is not enough. Since April I have been taking time off work to see to my uncle because although the carers come in daily for an hour in the morning, 1/2 hr lunch and 3/4 hr for dinner it is not enough time to include all of his basic needs. Does anyone have any legal advise about how to challenge Social services on this? Thank you

Hi, hope you can help, In April I received a speeding ticket for doing 70 on a motorway in a 60 restricted zone. I paid for a TTC driving awareness course over the phone and was told they would email me a date for the course booking. In June I received a letter from west Mercia police reminding me to pay the fine or book the course. I emailed [email protected] explaining I had paid and waiting for a course date. They replied: The reminder letter is an automatically generated letter as the status of the notice is “booking pending” so please disregard. The next letter I received was a letter informing me I had not attended the course and I could no longer attend the course. I made several attempts to call westmericia but the telephone sent me round in a loop, no one answered. I emailed the office again the reply was: I have today spoken to the course provider TTC and they have confirmed that on the 3rd of May you telephoned and booked onto a course on the 16 June at 11.15 this course date was confirmed in that telephone call and a confirmation email was sent to you confirming these course details. They state that 24 hours before the course time a reminder email was sent to you and then one hour before the course was due to start a text message was sent to you. Due to the date of the offence the option of the course is no longer available and our letter of the 11th of July confirms your options. If you wish to accept the fixed penalty please ensure the fine is paid and your licence sent to the payment office for endorsement by the 28 July 2022. I persisted in calling the contact number for some days and eventually got hold of someone who informed me an email explaining the date had been sent to my email address. I searched my spam and found it. But of course too late. I have since received another speeding ticket for doing over 30 in a 30 limit. There is no option for a speed awareness course because it is on the system that I have booked the other one. I forgot to say that the course provider hadn’t given me a date at the time of booking as she said she would email me the date. I also didn’t receive a text message. Please could you help? Hi guys, Thanks so much for your replies. I got the other two a bit late as I agreed to let them video. I took down personal photographs before they entered. This was the first time someone had entered my personal space since last year because of lockdown. I appreciate the landlord needs to make money - his 40 other properties keep his luxuries life going quite nicely- the thing that bothered me was the way he power walked into my life and requested in a manner that wasn't expecting a no. I had given him more than a months notice to be considerate to him and the same basic human respect was not reciprocated. These were my personal belongings to be posted on any marketing the company choose to use and anyone (including a thief) could see my belongs. This is a small area people talk and I'm only moving to the next street. I'm actually quite scared that someone might try to break into my new place now. Crime is on the increase.

Hi, I have given my landlord more than a months notice to leave his property. I am up to date with all my payments and kept the house in excellent order. He has informed me that he requires me to allow a letting agent into the property to take a video of his property for new potential tenants to view. I am still living in the property and I am uncomfortable about my personal belongings being viewed by anyone who visits that estate agents site. My months notice should start at the end of this month but gave him extra time in my notice as a consideration. Does anyone have any advise please?

Hello, Last year I paid for a years membership to an online company called Gaia.com. Last weekend I found £75 had been taken from my account for another years membership without warning. I contacted Gaia as I was not certain but thought I had set up my account to not have automatic renewal and the credit card I had originally used to pay expired in 2020 anyway so thought they would not have been able to use it. They told me that they do not do refunds and cancelled my membership which now expires in 2022. Are they allowed to do this? Thanks

Hello Good sister, Yes it is related, I paid the bill but they have defaulted my account and effected my credit score. They are now refusing to take it off my credit score. I did explain that I wouldn't pay my bill until the dispute over my bill got sorted out. Do you know who I can contact to seek advise about this please. Thank you.

Hi hope you can help. I have a parking permit to park on the road outside my house because otherwise I would get a pcn. Recently the permit came off the dashboard & I got a parking ticket when I disputed it they said I would still have to pay it because it was not properly displayed. the next time I tucked it between the dash & the window but it had slipped down a little further so you couldn't see the date properly. Now I have received another pcn is there anything I can do? Thanks

Hi hope you can help A friend of mine works as a seemstress she is Bulgarian & employs a few members of staff to help her in her busy shop. All her employees work as self employed. In October 2015 she employed a woman who doesnt speak English who lives with her daughter who speaks adequate English. My friend asked this person many times to provide her with her tax & NI number so that she could register her for tax. Cut a long story short she refused to give it to her eventually resulting in my friend refusing to pay her the last months wages until she supplied her with the necessary information required. Apparently this women does not want to give her the necessary information because she lives with her daughter who is getting benefits (housing benefit & child benefits) & these benefits will be reduced if the income is declared. Does anyone have any ideas what to do here

Sometime ago I got into despite with Welsh Water as I was paying more for my water rates then my neighbors I didn't pay my bill for some months while this was being discussed. They have now put a default on my account which has taken my credit score from being at the top to 11 points away from being a poor score

Hi I wonder if someone could help me? I've had a wart on my finger for quite sometime, my NHS doctors tried freezing it with a nitrogen gun on a few occasions which didn't work & I tried various ointments I purchased at the chemist or online plus various alternative methods but the wart just got bigger. My last visit to the doctor I was told that I would have to go private because the NHS didn't cover the removal of warts. I paid to see a private consultant who prescribed me a stronger acid treatment the prescription of which has been referred to my NHS doctor who apparently can prescribe it for me. So why couldn't my doctor prescribe it for me in the first place. Why did it cost me £155.00 to get my NHS doctor to give me something they could've given me in the first place...? :

Sometime ago I contacted Welsh Water as I discovered that my neighbor who has the same type of house (in reverse) as I was paying less water rates than myself, as well as my other neighbor & a house up the road that had two bathrooms & a utility. They told me that all my neighbors were on a water meter which isn't true because I asked them. Welsh Water refused to acknowledge this and later as I had decided to move I paid my bill up until my leaving date & put the matter behind me. The house I was moving to fell through so I ended up staying. I forgot to inform Welsh Water and recently they sent a letter to this address 'to the occupier' requesting that the present tenant register with them. The present tenant is still me Any advice on what I need to do please?
