  1. Thanks for such speedy replies! 1- - there are photos of my car (just the car with a ticket, from all angles) - there is one photo of a sign which is JUST a close up zoomed in sign (nothing else visible) - there is one photo of the sign from a few feet back showing it stuck to a lamp-post(? I think) but no doors/road names visible to identify where it is. 2- - islington council I would upload the photos but I'm not too good with the web and I'm on an iPad not sure if it's even possible sorry I hope this helps, again thanks for your time
  2. Dear ladies and gents, A few weeks ago I received a parking ticket for parking in my usual resident permit zone which was apparently suspended at the time. I was slightly confused because I did not see any signs/ warnings/ cones to notify or warn me of this suspended bay. I parked at night and there was nothing to make me think I can't park here... I just noticed some sort of road works/pavement works had started the following morning. I looked around still but no signs or warning... I thought maybe there had been a mistake and the sign wasn't placed and so a quick appeal would help correct this. I appealed explaining the situation/ showing photographs which I had taken showing NO signs or warnings... I received this email today: "Dear Sir/Madam. * Penalty Charge Notice No. Xxxxxxxxxx Date of Issue 23/01/2013 at 08:53 * Thank you for your email regarding the above Penalty Charge Notice which was recently received at this office. The Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) was issued because you were parked in a suspended bay. Parking in a suspended bay is not permitted and vehicles are liable for parking enforcement. They may be obstructing essential works and if so will be relocated or removed. * The Council are very limited in where these suspension notices can be placed and the onus is with the driver to always ensure that a vehicle is permitted to be parked as opposed to assuming that it can. The sign can often be further from the location when vehicle is parked. As the PCN was issued correctly, payment is now due.* I have decided that we can accept the discounted amount of £65.00 provided we receive that before 04.03.2013. Please bear in mind that on that date the charge will increase to £130.00....." The mail goes on to explain how I can make payment and includes a few pictures of my car.. And then a close up of a "sign" which I am sure was so far away the person writing the ticket probably had difficulty locating it. The problem is there was no sign on that road or anywhere near the suspended area. Maybe the opposite side or on a side road BUT definitely not on the same side/area of the suspended zone. I would like to know whether I stand a chance and should appeal or just shadapand pay the £65? Do I stand a chance if I appeal and take this further. Any advise/ experience or help would be much appreciated, thank you all in advance for your time and help. kal
