  1. I sent them a letter, from the template above. I signed the document as stated above. I received a reply from them acknowledging my request but saying I will need to resubmit my request with proof if ID (copy of driving licence or passport). Then they will comply within the time scale. They also sent back the postal order and a copy if the letter I had sent. I have already filed a complaint with the financial ombudsman but that can take at least three months they said. What should/can I do now? They are ignoring my requests and just sending letters back to me.
  2. Nope, It shows a '?' for 6 months. I believe this indicates that payment information could not be provided. Does this indicate anything else? Thanks for your input on all my threads dx, what a guy.
  3. CRA file also shows that "the lender could not provide account information(?)" for a 6 month period before the default was issued. Fishy?
  4. Of course, I just checked online. It was taken out on 05/10/07
  5. I dont have the exact date to hand but it was the end of 2007. Id say, October/November 2007.
  6. Is that unusual for LittleWoods? Plan is to clear the debts on my credit file at the lowest possible cost. I realise the default wont come off my file till the 6 years is up.
  7. Last one, the big one! Thanks in advance for reading. Type of Debt: Collecting: Moorcroft ('Acting on behalf of' Barclaycard) Status: Default (18/07/12) Balance: £7075.00 (as per credit report) Last Payment: Token payment on June 2012 06/01/13 Request for CCA & 25% F&F offer sent to Moorcroft. 09/01/13: Acknowledgement letter received from Moorcroft. 02/02/13: Counter F&F offer of 90% of balance due, valid for 10 days. - I did not respond to this letter. 12/02/13 Received a letter from Barclaycard showing: a) Statement of my account (balance and current status). b) Reconstituted copy of my credit agreement.( Online agreement so no signature but also no "tick box"?) c) General terms and conditions. Is this all ok? Where do you think I should go from here? All help is appreciated.
  8. This is debt 4/5. Really annoyed at myself for getting this additional default. At the time I thought "oh well, whats another default going to do..." Silly boy. Type of Debt: Credit Card Collecting: Moorcroft (Only 'Acting on bahalf of' Halifax) Status: Default (19/10/12) Balance: £705.00 (as per credit file). Last Payment: August 2012 Penalty and interest charges already reclaimed. 28/12/12: Letter received from Moorcroft offering a discounted offer of up to 20% depending on my personal circumstances. I did not respond to this letter. 06/01/13: Letter sent to Moorcroft requesting CCA. 09/01/13: Received an acknowledgement of my CCA request. Letter also asked me to "provide an indication of the information you would rely upon, when giving evidence to the court or information to the relevant statutory authorities in relation to the alleged subject matter of this account." - I thought this was a very strange request and did not respond to this request. 29/01/13: Sent another letter reminding them of CCA request deadlines and offered 25% F&F. 02/02/13: Received a counter offer of 90% of the outstanding balance valid for the next 10 days. No mention of CCA request. - I did not respond to this letter. 09/03/13 Received a letter advising me that I have 'defaulted on the agreement we reached' and that I was now in arrears of the sum of £159.00 along with some "doorstep call" threats. 14/03/13 Today I have sent them a letter putting the account formally into dispute as they cannot comply with CCA request. I also noted that any form of communication other than written, would be seen as harassment and reported immediately. This one seems strange. They lead with discount offers, now cannot produce a CCA and claim I have breached a fictitious agreement made with them! Any suggestions my forum friends?
  9. This is debt 3/5, then I will stop creating new threads for a while! My aim is to clear these debts at the lowest possible cost to myself. If someone can tell me if I am doing the right things here and what action I should take next, it will be very much appreciated. Type of Debt: Mail Order Collecting: Lowell (Now own the debt. OC is LittleWoods) Status: Default (04/01/2011) Balance: £1120.00 (as per credit file). Last Payment: Jan 2010 Penalty and interest charges already reclaimed. 06/01/13: Letter sent requesting CCA. 29/01/13: Sent another letter reminding them of CCA request deadlines and offered 25% F&F. 13/02/13: Received a letter showing: a) Credit Agreement with LittleWoods and my details ( no signature but was online application.) w/"additional terms and conditions' b) Credit Agreement with Shop Direct details only w/ "additional terms and conditions" c) Written statement on the status of my account and the balance payable. They have completely ignored by F&F offers. I have not admitted any debt to Lowell. How should I proceed with this debt? Lowell did send me a letter at the end of last year saying they were going to pass on this debt to another DCA but that has never happened. Or I have not received any letters from them. Thanks for reading
  10. Again, my aim is to clear these debts at the lowest possible cost to myself. If someone can tell me if I am doing the right things here and what action I should take next, it will be very much appreciated. Type of Debt: Credit Card Collecting: MBNA (OC) Status: Default (31/07/12) Balance: £1153.00 (as per credit file). Last Payment: September 2012 Penalty and interest charges already reclaimed. 06/01/13: Letter sent requesting CCA. 17/01/13: Received a response with: a) Copy of my executed agreement b) Up to date t&c's c) Most recent statement (which shows the state of my account) Does this fulfill the criteria for complience with a CCA request? 29/01/13: Sent F&F offer for 25% of the balance due. 04/02/13: Received a letter rejecting the offer on the basic that it was far too low. To be fair to MBNA, at this moment, they have not hassled me at all and have been very pleasant in their correspondence. (Dealing with the 'Customer Assistance Department'). They do send me letters every 6-8 weeks asking for money, which I reply to saying I cannot afford any repayments at present. Charges and interest have been stopped. If this CCA is all ok and they have not passed on this debt to a collection agency, can you give me any suggestions on a F&F offer? Should I offer £1 p/m token payments or see if I can get the money to pay off the balance? Thanks for reading, more to come....
  11. 16 years... that is commitment! Good luck to you too. It is frustrating already but I want them to prove to me that I owe them any money. Also, I believe they are not allowed to default me if the account is formally in dispute. In which it will stay until they produce a valid CCA. Is this correct?
  12. I have copied images of the letters HFC are sending me but at this moment, I am not able to post images or links.
  13. My aim is to clear these debts at the lowest possible cost to myself. I have other defaults on my credit file and I dont want it to get any worse. If someone can tell me if I am doing the right things here and what action I should take next, it will be very much appreciated. Type of Debt: Personal Loan Collecting: HFC (OC) Status: 3 Late payments Balance: £273.00 (as per credit file). Penalty and interest charges already reclaimed. 06/01/13: Letter sent requesting CCA. 14/01/13: Received a reply asking for a signed request and photo ID before they can comply with CCA request. 31/01/13: Letter sent offering F&F and reminding CCA request. I offered 25% F&F on the basis that they have not been able to produce a valid CCA. 04/02/13: Received a reply refusing my F&F offer and asking for copies of payslips together with a repayment proposal. Then another letter, again, requesting a signed CCA request and photo ID to comply with CCA request. 11/02/13: Letter sent asking to reconsider F&F and advising time limits of CCA request and that ID, payslips etc are not required. 21/02/13: Received a letter recognising my requests and my complaints. Apparently a 'full investigation' will be conduction regarding the issues I raised. 07/03/13 I received a notice advising me that if I did not remedy the late payments on the account by 30/03/13, further action would be taken. 11/03/13 Received a letter today to advising me that HFC intend to issue a default notice in no less that 65days from the date of the letter. 14/03/13 Today I have sent a letter to HFC ( thanks to BRIGADIER2JCS for the template) to question their need to signature and ID if they have been sending statements etc to my address for months and also to formally put this account in to dispute. ... Where to go from here?
  14. Thanks for the response. What can I do if they issue a default notice? Edit: Have now read "therefore this account is formally in dispute."
  15. Thank you for your response. I will start new threads for each account. This will keep things more organised. So if my accounts are already marked as defaulted on my credit report, you suggest I don't settle the accounts at all? Or offer £1 token payment for life or...? Many Thanks
