  2. I was so nervous about doing this whole thing too!!! But do not fear!!!! This site is so great it has everything you need all the letters etc. I ended up having to submit a claim, but everything has worked out fine!!! Good luck, not that you need it!!! The bank will pay!!!
  3. They haven't responded positively to your request letter. So send the Letter before action which states that you will take them to court if they do not pay you back the charges etc. It's in the library somewhere! Good luck! When I was still with the BOS they were complete Wan*ers. But I'm getting my money back anytime soon now! Yay!!
  4. Hello everyone!!! Good news!!! I received a letter today from Halifax. I will be getting the full £601.52 that I asked to be returned to me!!! I should receive the cheque in the next 5 working days!!! Made my day!! Thank you very much to the forum for all the helpful information and letter templates etc!!! Very much appreciated!!
  5. I stated in the claim that i submitted to the court that I want 8% and costs as well as the amount of money they have charged me during the period of time that I was with BOS. Is that what you mean?
  6. Ok so they did not respond to my LBA. So I did it! I have submitted my small claim they have by the 23rd of August to respond..... otherwise the hearing will be on the 30th. Fingers crossed!
  7. Thank you very much for your info! Much appreciated!
  8. So I should be including the interest that BoS charged me on the spread sheet and calculate the 8% on that too? Sorry I could be having a very blonde moment here.......
  9. Quick question, In the schedual of charges that I attach to the forms, Do i use the spread sheet provided to calculate the 8% interest, or do I just list the charges that were incurred (excess O/D etc) and also the interest charges that were incurred on my account? and leave out the 8%?
  10. Ah, sadly 2 weeks are up today and I have received nothing from the bank of scotland, not even a letter acknowledging the LBA which I hand delivered! So roll on Monday..... I need to fill out my claims form today and if nothing comes in the post on Monday I have to go ahead with the whole messy business! Still when they owe £600 it's worth it right?
  11. Ooh, can I ask where you got your claim form from? I'm putting my LBA through the door of the bank today too! And need to be prepared in case they don't want to give me my money back! Ta Roz
  12. Hello all! BOS tried to fob me off with £80 instead of the grand total of £601.52 which they actually owe me! So I'm going to go down to the bank just now and put a the Letter before Action through their door! Wish me luck!!! And fingers crossed I will have that money in 2 weeks time!!! Roz xxx
  13. Hey folks Am just getting it all sorted to send my letter, and hopefully BOS will return my £418 that they took off me in charges and not be a pain in the ass about it!!!
  14. The general advice that seems to be going around re the scottish claims is that you sperate it in to several claims under £750, but do one after the other (Never at the same time otherwise they may want to condense the claims, in which case you may be liable for their court costs etc.). For instance you could claim back for say just a six month period or a year. Once you get it back put in another claim for say £700. and carry on until they get the picture and pay it all back or until you get it all back by claiming.
  15. Well I got my statements etc back, some of it I don't understand......... obviously dye my hair blonde too often ;-). Anyway, was wondering if anyone out there knows what a maintenance charge for £8.50 would be for if they have already charged me £20 for going over my overdraft limit? Would that still be something I could claim back? There was also something else which I'm not sure about. On one of the pages I was sent there is something about "money laundering verification" which I am very confused about. Any help would be most gratefully received
