  1. I signed on this morning and my advicer gived me a leaflet about payments been sent early but don't understand when my payments will go in my bank and just wondering if anyone know from this: Expected Issue date Payment for Period Ending 15/03/2013 15/03/2013 27/03/2013 29/03/2013 12/04/2013 12/04/2013 I know the top one as I signed on today and it will go in my bank on the 20th (on wednesday) But when will the 27th go in? is it on the 29th it will go in my bank or the 3rd? I should signed on the 29th of March but due to been good friday Jobcentre is shut. Any advice would be great, cheers
  2. I have got one of these today and there is no need to worry about it, DWP (Jobcentre) are just warning clamants on what to expect if you fail to do one of the rules on the letter, its just stating that if you don't follow the rules then sanctions will take place.
  3. Well looks like the benefit cash card is not going any further http://socialwelfareunion.org/archives/3041
  4. What worries me is what if you don't take part in mandatory work scheme, could Jobcentre stop our Jobseekers if we fail to take part?
  5. Hi, I have just been reading this and it states that you been bidding on flats since you was 18 and you got no where, well if you don't mind me asking, how old are you? because it seems you gotten some where since you had a flat a few months ago and you been evicted, or this story true or just a wind up?
  6. Hi, I am looking for some advice regarding my advicer at the work programme as she made me 2 appointments but I don't know which 1 to attended I am worried and confused. 1) The first appointment she made me is Attend drop in session for Job search on 14/01/2013 at 09.00 and it says on the letter this is mandatory Appointment which I recived on 05/01/2013. 2) She sent me a email on tuesday as she book me the appointment for the cleaning course on the same day but at 09.30 Which 1 do I attended? I am worried as the 1st one is Mandatory and if I don't attended this then I am worried my Jobseekers will get sanctioned. Just looking for some advice, btw I would have rang her during the week but been very busy due to personal reasons which I can't say on here. Any help would be great, cheers. Regards Shaun
  7. So I get £129.00 every fortnight from my JSA (I used to get £140.00 but they taking some out of my money as I had a budgeting loan) so how much will I get every month? I heard from other forums that I will get £145 to last me a month, is that correct?
  8. Just looking for some of your thought's of what you think of when Universal Credit comes into force, I have heard that people on benefits will get they money monthly instead of fortnight. how is this possible? how can people survive without any money for 5 weeks?
  9. Oh well I have got no choice then have I, as I don't want my JSA Stopped and my housing benefit.
  10. Hi, Ok so what if I refuse this unpaid work, will they stop my Jobseekers?
  11. I am currently on the work Programme by Jobcentre and I started in January 2012 and I finish in January 2014 as it lasts for 2 years. Anyway what I want to know is if I haven't found a Job by then (Which I hope I have) what happens after the work programme? Will Jobcentre close my claim? I am worried as I don't want to end up homeless if they close it after the 2 years is up Any advice would be great cheers
  12. Hi Casper's Ghost, I have been reading your situation and I don't understand how you still have the property? before christmas you stated that the landlord have started taking action for you to leave the property however you still in the flat, as the landlord agree a payment plan for you to stay in the property? If yes great stuff but if not then how come she not started taking action? it seems really confusing this? or is this just a made up story? However on another note, I am sorry to hear you have been sanctioned by Jobcentre and hope everything works out fine for you in the near future.
  13. Hi, Sorry but I don't have any sympathy for the family you talking about, they shouldn't have more kids if they can't afford all they bills, its that simple !!
  14. Hi Jadeybags, No my flat is not private rented, it's from a housing association
  15. Hi Flumps, Good information however having read about what you stated about housing benefit cut for under 35s, so will I be affected by this?
  16. Excuse me, what makes you think I don't apply for Jobs? I always apply for jobs 5 -6 jobs a day and also like to point out that I never hear anything back from employers but I still apply for Jobs, I am not a dole scrounger!! I hope I get a Job very soon also just to point out, where are the jobs? you do know we are in a recession. To be honest I would love you to go on JSA (if you not already on it) and see how people on JSA like me suffer hardship. JSA Is not a lifestyle choice you know, its to help you until you find work and to help with all the bills likes electric, water, food, gas ete. and most of the time I am unable to get a top up as I can't afford it, I have not even got aerial in my flat at the moment as they was not one in when I moved in January so i have to watch soaps on the internet! So most of us not living the life of luxary you know, most of us haven't got sky and I don't sit in front of the tv you know all day, I don't drink and don't smoke! But one thing I have is bt internet/phone as I need internet to apply for jobs so don't have a go at honest people like me!!!

  18. Evening all, Right first of all I am sorry if this is not in the right forum We all know that from next year they will be some huge changes from 2013 to benefits and here are a few things that will change: 1) Council Tax - It's been reported that people who are on JSA Will need to pay they tax out of they JSA, How on earth people going to survive regarding this? it's really stupid and I doubt any people will be able to afford food after they paid all the outgoings 2) Housing Benefit - I read somewhere that people under 25 will get they housing benefit cut, is this true? and also they will need to pay part rent if they got a spare bedroom that they don't use (This doesn't apply to me as I am 26 and I only live in a 1 bedroom flat) 3) Universal Credit - It's going to replace some benefits like: Jobseekers, Income Employment and Support Allowance, Child Tax Credits, Working Tax Credits and Housing Benefit. 4) Jobseekers - People who don't follow the JCP advicer and don't apply for all the Jobs they givin they could be tougher sanctions even up to 3 years! I think that is it or have I missed anything? To be honest I am dredding going into the new year, I can tell you now 2013 Is going to be a bleak and horrible year
  19. Flumps1976, Yes I understand that and my JSAg claim states that I don't have a Licence, but I was just giving example to the OP that is all.
  20. Like others have said, if JCP gives you 4 jobs you need to apply for all of them, if JCP gives me like 4 to 5 Jobs I am always going to apply for all of them as I don't want the risk of been sanctioned as I don't want to be evicted from my flat if my Jobseekers stop. Like even for example it states on the vacancy that you need a driving licence you still got to apply for it and on the interview day and they ask you if you got one and you said no then they might turn you down for the job. I know applying for a job which states need a driving licence is stupid and you have not got one but this is Jobcentre we talking about but its worth applying for it, better then getting your JSA Stopped and ending up Homeless!!
  21. Morning, I don't know if this has been answerd but just wondering has the goverment axed cold weather payments? I am on Jobseekers and just wondering if they haven't will I get 1? as I live alone in my flat and I am 26 and if I get 1 I can put more on my gas
