Hi there, I recently received a PCN when parked in a short stay parking bay. The restrictions in the bay ran from 10am - 12 noon, so only two hours, but with a maximum stay of 1 hour. I arrived just before 11 and put my £3 for one hour, which took me up to 11.55am. When I returned to my car there was a PCN notice on it. I was totally gutted – I couldn't believe someone would wait and rush to issue a ticket in the few minutes between my ticket expiring and the parking becoming free at 12 noon. My first question then is, is there any kind of grace period after a ticket expires? Secondly when I looked at the ticket, the time on the PCN is exactly 12 o'clock. But from 12 o'clock parking is free on that bay. So even if I had run over by 5 minutes, the ticket was not actually issued until 12, at which time surely it ceases to be a valid ticket. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I am so fed up of this particular patch of parking attendants and meters.
