  1. Thanks for replying. I was worried they may have added another default or tried t get a ccj for the debt. We'll see what the outcome is. I will definitely send this letter to the debt collectors. Thanks for your help.
  2. Thanks fir replying. Last payment on credit card was around march 2005 and I stopped using the overdraft account in about December 2005. I have a letter from lloyds recalling the overdraft and asking for immediate payment in December 2005. I havent acknowledge the debts since that time and have not replied to Lowell and aktiv capital about either debt. They just send letters from time to time offering discounts. My credit record is now clean with no defaults which us why I applied for a mainstream account with Halifax. I had thought banks keep records of all accounts for data protection reason?
  3. Hi, I'm looking for some advice on something silly that I've done I defaulted on a lloyds tsb overdraft and a halifax credit cardwhen I was a student in 2005. The debts were sold on to debt collection agencies but they fell off my credit report last year. I haven't been in a position to pay this and still get letters saying they can discount the debt for me to pay. Yesterday, I applied for a Halifax reward account. I did it even though I had he cc debt because that was relatively small and I thought if they brought it up I could make an arrangement to pay it. I didn't realise Halifax are owned by lloyds now until I looked at my credit file and they had done an ID check. My question is: have I opened a can of worms? Will lloyds now start chasing me for the overdraft debt? Or since this was sold on can they not do that? I don't think they will accept me now but I am really worried about it. I know this was stupid thing to do but I wanted to try and get the reward account. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
